Good to see a 'ringer' after all these years. We used to look down from on the high deck of 'Mezzie' a 'frenchman' as Penberth men 'ringed' in circles around the Runnelstone with a broomstick with a nail atop for the curtain ring. 'We' were four-handed & held the fish well as a result, but 'Ringo' & the like did as well man for man 'ringin'. We'd get (1975/6/7/8/9) c. 40p. per STONE then.........ripped RIGHT off of course. Plenty of 'mad dogs' in the shoals then....i.e. 1~3+ pounders. I'm almost 82 now & STILL shake off max. in my sleep at times!

Cheeky maybe, but what conditions n locational aspects do you choose for bass, depth, bottom etc, and what do you mostly catch on, lures, bait ?? Im up newquay way and fish off a kayak. Any advice or tips would really be useful. Great video, lifestyle and outlook on the ups n downs of doing it your way..

Watching from Washington State, USA. We don't have lobster, we have Dungeness crab, salmon, and a variety of ground fish. Winter weather is on a par with U.K. waters. 1-3 day weather windows. My boat has a cabin. AND heat!

It must be individual fisherman who supply the seafood. Not huge conglomerates who go out and drain the seas of everything! They are ruthless, greedy, pigs! The fishing industry can be handled quite well by small fishing companies. The Chinese, Russians, Japanese and many others have decimated the stocks of all kinds of marine life. Keep those greedy bastards out of sovereign waters at all costs!
