my 3 yr old walks around playing air guitar and humming this riff night and day :) He walked out on this version though, never saw him do that on the cream ones!!

Sounds better on a humuckers and a Marshall…. Strat and bassman sounds too thin. I bought a guitar because of Clapton.

THIS SONG IS ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY.!!! IT'S A ROCK CLASSIC AND I REALLY TOTALLY LOVE IT...BY THE WAY LIKE 99.9% OF WHAT THE MASTER ERIC CLAPTON HAS COMPOSED, RECORDED AND DONE. I REALLY, REALLY REGRET THAT I ONLY SAW HIM IN CONCERT ONCE. Who knows...MAYBE I WILL STILL GET A CHANCE TO LISTEN TO AND SEE THE BRILLIANT ERIC CLAPTON IN ACTION ON STAGE. DAMN...I WOULD LIKE IT VERY MUCH, I REALLY DREAM ABOUT IT. FROM ALL MY HEART, SINCERE GREETINGS TO EVERYONE FROM POLAND. GOOD LUCK... STAY TUNED, DEARS. HEY GREETINGS FOR YOU FOR ALL🤝🤜🤛 PEOPLE FROM🇵🇱 2:31 POLAND R'N'R & BLUES & REGGAE FOREVER LIVE 💚💛🤎♾️🤝♾️🔥❗️❗️❗️

I saw Alvin Lee once in Atlanta Ga and his guitar playing was great. He could not out do Clapton but his talent great.

2° Eric appears to have lost that special gift of timing that Ginger Baker referred to. Just doesn't have that razor sharp sense of where each note goes to follow the motif fitting like a glove oh well will you at least have those early recordings

This is one of my favorite cold starts to any concert. Talent walks on ahead of rest of the band… holding two things: a cup of water(?) and his work axe… puts down the cup and grabs a random pick, throws on the guitar, plays about 12 notes and a chord to see if Blackie is in tune… then goes into legendary riff by himself while everyone is still getting setup and seated. By the third or fourth bar when they’re all in, it’s already a well oiled machine. No hanging about… and excites the crowd by himself in four power chords. Beaut!
