Just to add to that, it's also important to follow the characteristics of the believers. There is NO such thing as a perfect group with all good. Some groups will be more aligned with the prophet (saw) and Salaf in terms of good conduct and having wisdom, and others will be more aligned with the aqeedah of the salaf but they fall short in good characters, wisdom and other areas, did they forget that the prophet (saw) was sent to perfect manners? This is the reality of the groups. A group may be aligned with the salaf in one area but lack in other areas. Also, we should not judge all asharis to be the same, just like we would not judge all salafis to be the same. It is true that some asharis are extreme, some are moderate, some people agree with asharis with only a few matters, and some only have inclinations but reject most aspects. This is one of the downfalls of some of the “cancelling culture” they judge others to be either completely part of the Ahle sunnah or nothing, when the reality they themselves fall short in other areas are not aligned with characteristics of the believers. The victorious group is not necessarily group like the football team but can be individuals - those who follow the non-sectarian approach - just like the Prophet (saw) and the sahabas followed - iman, islam and Ihsan - these individuals can be from any place as long as they follow the criteria, and it is possible that some of them are mistaken in some areas and that Allah (swt) forgives them because of their sincerity and humbleness, while punish certain individuals who had the slogan of people of sunnah but they had pride and arrogance and wrongdoings.

There is a video of Sh ibn uthaymeen giving a general statement of Asharis. Please tyoe "Are Asharis part of Ahle sunnah or not by Ibn Uthaymeen" on youtube. He clearly mentions here that Asaharis are not completely outside the fold of Ahle sunnah, nor are they completely within the Ahle sunnah. However they are ahle sunnah with what they agree with Alhle sunnah, and not Ahle sunnah on those matters they oppose. Similarly Sh Albani stated that Asharis are with the Ahle sunnah with majority aspects of aqeedah and only differ in few matters. He also stated he disagrees with those who completely exclude them from the Ahle sunnah. Please see Al bani's website and under Asharis - where he gives a fair judgement.

I am a sunni athari, without attachment to any baggage of the current movement or their creedal development. I disagree the way these individuals go around teaching people that Allah has face, hands, shin. I am referring to manner of teaching. Where does one find in the Quran that Allah listing in this manner or the prophet (saw) listing in this manner or the companions listing in this manner that Allah has face, hands, feet, shin and the list goes on. I strongly disagree listing these in this manner one after another. Do you find the prophet (saw) doing this or sahabas in this manner. This is problematic and opens the door to humanise Allah (Asthaghfirullah). Keep it organic and simple, if Allah or the prophet (saw) did not state them this order then refrain from doing this order. Just to reiterate, not disagreeing with affirming Allah's attributes without howness but disagreeing listing this in this manner - which can be dangerous and also lead confusion.

@TheAdvocacyProject-x7p Akh you forgot to mention the other noble names, Salafi, Ahlul Hadeeth, ....the Scholars started to write books and give lectures when Ahlul Bida started to appear at the tail end of the Sahabab . So we have the Aqeedah of our Salaf as-Salih, Saved victorious group written down for us. Wa lillaahil hamdh. May Allah reward the Scholars abundantly with good
