Is the detection of bikes stable? So are there cases where bikes are not recognized? For me, the bike recognition is as important as cars driving mostly in cars free roads.
@Appmyhome3 күн бұрын
Great question. For us the bike trail you see gets used by lots of bikes, and increasingly by electric bikes which are fast and heavy. So detection distance is key. This said we haven't tested for stability or look for cases where it misses folks.

how far from router does it it keep connection reliably? And assuming camera is outside (i.e. signal has to go through walls)
@Appmyhome6 күн бұрын
Difficult to tell. We have a mesh router so some places outdoors have a good signal. Sometimes 10 to 20 ft from the house. But it will vary depending on wall type (stucco) and router placement. In general we find the Reolink cameras have a decent WiFi range.

@AppmyhomeАй бұрын
do you see other networks? How far from your router are you? If you can best to setup the camera close to your router first to both ensure you connect and to possibly update the firmware. Sometimes new firmware fixes network issues. If all else fails, try their tech support who will have much more experience with these type of issues.

The advantage of the small ones is that you can send one to the house of you mother, it will be online so no ransomware can touch it and if your office get ransacked or fire, the disk in other places are not going to burn, be stolen or destroyed in any way. This is a good raid solution but does not replace backup.
@AppmyhomeАй бұрын
Very good points. We use an offsite backup service as well. Keep in mind unless you have very fast upload speeds, backing up over the internet is not practical for very large archives. In that case, taking copies to your mom's house makes total sense. You could also get tape backup which OWC sells and backup using that, again with a copy to your mom's house.

Ahh I’m so confused! I just reached out to Eufy today and they said the Homebase is just for storage, it doesn’t support any of the other AI features for this camera. They also said this camera records in 2k when connected to the Homebase, not 1080p like the e220 pan and tilt when connected to the Homebase. But when you had it hooked up to the HB it definitely went down to 1080p?
@AppmyhomeАй бұрын
the c220 is currently connected to the homebase and is showing 2k recording. keep in mind if you set to continuous recording then only 1080p. the camera supports the human detection itself.

Hi, I have exactly the same packet but it’s not including wall mount bracket from where I can get this one because I would like to put together my camera and my solar planner. Can you send me a link please?
@AppmyhomeАй бұрын
The mounts came with the devices. I would check with Tapo support to see if they can point you to where to get one. this model does not have a combined mount. we did a review on their C402 which does come with a dual mount for the camera and solar panel.

Question for you, does the smartslyder prevent opening of the window/door? Or is the "locking mechanism" just that plastic part with the plunger (part you had to get custom made)? PS - Nice review
@AppmyhomeАй бұрын
thank you. short answer yes it prevents manual opening. the plunger part moves on a long screw. you can’t move it by yourself. the plastic piece goes on the window and as long as that stays on, the window is secure.
