Really interesting 'tree hoping' Not like back home where the hills are mostly barren and easy to fly close to. No less dangerous though, take your pick- trees or rocks....Thank you so much for sharing Brian.

At 1.22 secs in video you see a glider throw reserve and go down on a steep face of mountain. My question is except for the comment it is "frightening to see someone do that" what did you do to help this person. Did you call the safety channel 144.50 VHF or relay message through radio to your friends informing of crash. Keen to know your actions?

Thanks mate. I live in the uk. I don't know where the best place for you to get one from. There's people that teach paragliding on the landing field in Bir. You will see them teaching people to ground handle. They might be able to help? There's also a lot of places on the Internet. Sorry I can't be more help. Good luck

After watching your videos, I have understood that more altitude is a key to remain airborne for the long duration and helps to maintain the glide ratio too. Judgement about the thermal columns is very essential but for the beginner such height could be little scary and difficult to make quick decisions. You are an experienced pilot so your assessment and response is superb. What seems to be easy does not necessarily mean its easy and simple. 😅

Great video and sport, but how the hell you don't hit someone flying in such crowded areas. I think rather than enjoying the actual flight and scenery, I would be too stressed out and concentrating on not being hit or hitting someone else. Other than that, what a great way to fly, soaring like condors.
@britube-mountainman3 ай бұрын
@Pixelatedworld-iu2dd thanks mate. Yes it does happen sometimes. Ypu need to be constantly looking every where. There are some bad pilots here that fly the wrong way in the thermal and don't look where they are going.

Absolutely brilliant brian. While getting the glider to India did you have to pay any fee ? I am an Indian and if you buy a glider online there will be a huge import tax. I have a few friends in US was hoping they could bring it as a luggage?

Outstanding Brian. Some of the best paragliding video I've seen. The clarity at that altitude is fantastic and the cold is severe too. It was interesting at one stage (2.48) how fast those pilots ahead of you were dropping relative to you. Lively conditions for sure. Well done all.

Absolutely amazing flight Bri! I love your commentary and how honest you are about when you’re scared. I’ve been flying for just over a year now and love your videos. What would happen if you bombed out over the mountains? Would you just have to walk to the nearest village? Did you manage to find out how the pilot was that had to throw their reserve?
@britube-mountainman3 ай бұрын
@AnthonyMcCleane thanks mate 😃 I said bomed bout but I mean fly out back the way I came. You don't want to bomb out over there. It can take days to walk back. Yes apparently he had back injuries.
