Great spiritual insights. Yet it seems there is a tendency to almost completely brush aside the real-life application to physical war in our day. For example, the parallels between Nephites/Lamanites and Israel/Hamas in these chapters are amazingly clear, yet I have not heard one Come Follow Me channel even hint toward these clear parallels. It seems to me that it would be wise to apply the scriptures to the children and land of Israel. ❤🇮🇱 Have we fulfilled this prophecy? 🤔 "O ye Gentiles, have ye remembered the Jews, mine ancient covenat people? Nay; but ye have cursed them, and have hated them, and have not sought to recover them. But behold, I will return all these things upon your own heads; for I the Lord have not forgotten my people." - 2 Nephi 29:5

Adding to the seriousness of sexual sin I've often observed is the secret shame which can seriously erode a person's feelings of self worth, divine identity, able to feel the Spirit or hope which can be a difficult well to climb out of. I'm grateful you pointed out that repentance through Jesus Christ is possible for ALL even when it's difficult to acknowledge you can be forgiven.

@teachingwithpower Sincere question here. I’ve felt the power and truth of the words spoken of in these chapters about this being a time to prepare to meet God, but I’m confused about the idea that the spirit we die with will be the same spirit we are resurrected with. Is spirit prison not also a time for the wicked to prepare to meet God? These scriptures make you think that time on earth is the only time granted to prepare to meet God and that there’s no mercy in the spirit world.. but that cannot be true as temples and proxy work are clear evidence of God’s mercy and forgiveness after death. Can anyone give me more light on this subject?

I, too, am curious about this. Actually, I heard a debate on whether we can progress after this life. It was a 3 panel debate. The conclusion was, yes we can progress! That's encouraging to be, but . . . what if we can't. Guess we'll find out when we leave this life. One thing that was pointed out was that, if you never new the true gospel upon death. Someone did your baptism, confirmation, initiatory, endowments, you were automatically in the Celestial Kingdom. That makes me want to be a better member of the Church because my parents just had their work done for them (I'm the only member in my family)! If you get more information, please let me know.

I am so gladd i found your channel. I like how you find the mainpoints in the scriptures and focus your lessons around them. Like the Faith Shakers where Alma deals with Korihor, one I did a couple of weeks ago and got a few people coming up to say they really enjoyed it.

When I started reading the Book of Genesis, I learned Cain killed Adam…. When I read the Book of Mormon, Laman and Lemuel almost killed Nephi. Human nature can be so wicked. It’s scary.
