I think the unit is over priced as well as their subscription model. The hardware is limited with shot delay and a tiny dot to place the ball. Compared to the square monitor how can you justify over 5 times the cost with subscription on top.
@davidmaxfieldgolf15 сағат бұрын
So with the square, yes it's a cheaper unit but it doesn't have a 240fps radar as well as a photometric system like the skytrak. It also is actually not that cheap as square does have in its own way a subscription charge. You have to buy credits for the unit to use the native software and they go down with each hole you play, it can actually work out a lot more expensive than a subscription if you play a lot. Then if you want additional software such as GSPro well then you still have to pay for that and a $2k gaming PC so it doesn't actually work out cheaper at all. The ST+ is available on IOS now and most people already have an iPad. so no further hardware expense required.
@MitchellgolfКүн бұрын
Good vid David. I have the skytrak+ very happy with it. The only bit at the moment I notice is on driving range is the total distance. If you hit a real low shot with long irons or woods it can roll out to 400yards hope they fix this in next update.

@@gavinsayer8130 thanks Gavin, off the putter it feels soft but responsive. I can only go offer comparing it with my old putter but the roll is far superior. I'm always curious to see what people say about LAB that aren't paid by LAB. Overall I hear the same thing you said, "it just seems to roll better". Their marketing might be good, but it seems that they actually do perform as well. Thanks for putting in the time to let us know your thoughts! I might have to give it a try one of these days. Anything to keep me out on the practice green a little more is a good thing.

When I bought my last putter I needed a replacement for my previous one that got left at a golf course abroad. I just wanted something dead cheap and temporary but in testing it turned out the Cleveland HB which wasn’t very expensive felt really good. I’ve putted pretty ok with it ever since. Then about 2 years ago I tested the LAB link as my coach was one of the first people to get one. It was an incredible feeling of how repetitive the swing became after about 15 minutes of using it. I didn’t get one at the time as I couldn’t afford it but LAB putters have been on my radar for a long time now. One day I’ll get one. Maybe the new OZ.1 if I can find some money when the season starts again next year.

I’ve done similar tests because my home course is very narrow and very demanding off the tee. Actually tested a driving iron vs 4 wood vs 2 hybrid vs mini driver. The mini driver performs the best off the tee for me but the driving iron and 2 hybrid offer a little more versatility. So testing continues and I’ll rely on Shotscope or Arccos data to back it up.

I think course management and how you’re hitting it on the range gives you the best idea before a round. For me personally I love the feeling of a well stuck iron more than any other club, that feeling along makes me gravitate more to a long iron than a fairway wood.

@davidmaxfieldgolf7 күн бұрын
What’s your option off the tee?
@Milkywaymike6 күн бұрын
I love my driver off the tee, but it didn't come easy. First I sliced terribly until I switched to the single plane swing which gives me a very neutral swing path or slightly in-to-out by a degree or 2. Secondly I made the mistake of chasing distance in a club fitting which I did get, however it costed me accuracy as I tended to leave the face open with cobra darkspeed. I decided to sell that custom driver and revert back to my cobra aerojet max 12 degree with a helium shaft I got from ebay that was a similar weight as the shaft I was fitted for. To help improve accuracy and consistent contact I cut my driver shaft down to 43.5" which improved my fairway stats to 55-70% per game. The other great thing was the distance I got from my custom build started surpassing the driver that I was fitted for! I practice with my driver the most since it gets used the most which built up my confidence to consistently make good shots with it. I also ditched my 3 wood and replaced it with a 5 wood because the 5 is more accurate and carries just as far with a higher ball flight so it stops quicker on a long shots into a green.
