What's your thoughts? For clarification, the $200 is in AUD not USD and yes, unfortunately golf has gotten to the stage where a decent budget putter is $200, you can of course get some cheaper but this is what I had to test against.

When I bought my last putter I needed a replacement for my previous one that got left at a golf course abroad. I just wanted something dead cheap and temporary but in testing it turned out the Cleveland HB which wasn’t very expensive felt really good. I’ve putted pretty ok with it ever since. Then about 2 years ago I tested the LAB link as my coach was one of the first people to get one. It was an incredible feeling of how repetitive the swing became after about 15 minutes of using it. I didn’t get one at the time as I couldn’t afford it but LAB putters have been on my radar for a long time now. One day I’ll get one. Maybe the new OZ.1 if I can find some money when the season starts again next year.

@@turfinteractionsgolf they’re 100% worth the investment. I absolutely love mine and when I match the data with the on course results it really does help my putting

Wait a minute--have we really gotten to the point where a $200 putter is considered "budget"? Insanity.

It is indeed but Im talking AUD not USD.

@@davidmaxfieldgolf Ah, that makes more sense. About $127 USD.

Learning to read greens, and understanding how to get your ball started on line will improve your putting more than any putter will. If you are going to buy a new putter, get one that fits your stroke, suits your eye, and gives you confidence. The best putter I’ve ever owned is a Cleveland that was $119 brand new.
@davidmaxfieldgolf9 күн бұрын
@@TeeboxxGolfandGear yeah I’d agree. Best putter I’ve owned before the LAB was the one in this video. But the benefits and roll of the LAB were clearly evident for me in this video. With greens that were getting worked on the roll of the LAB was a lot better and more consistent

I think the most important factor to take into consideration when buying a new putter is the amount of compliments you'll receive from your playing partners when they see it. Even if it putts shit, it must look cool.... You can always cheat on the scorecard.

For the average weekend warrior I dont think it would make too much difference. I'm perfectly happy with my Wilson Staff Infinite Windy City and it does the job.
@davidmaxfieldgolf9 күн бұрын
@@BrodieD if you’re happy with what you’ve got and it works then that’s awesome. I do think that the LAB will help the weekend warrior more than a pro though. As we aren’t consistent with our putting strokes whereas pros are. So technically we should benefit from it more than the pros

Great video I am wanting to get a lab . Probably the Link also but wouldn’t mind trying the OZ . I’m in Melbourne so I will get fitted

I’d really like to see some normies track strokes gained over multiple rounds with different putters. For me over 10+ rounds with each, my odyssey was about 2 strokes gained per round better than my lab link and 5 strokes better than my mezz. I still love my link but raw stats wise, an off the shelf versa has done a bit better
