Honestly, this is exactly what I felt was missing from the episode, and from the series as a whole. There needed to be a moment where everyone’s actions and motivations were carefully picked apart, and brought to the attention of both the audience and the characters themselves. Even if all the truth is brought to light, it is painfully clear that the judge and jury of hell would still find Stolas guilty. He gave his grimoire to an imp. He neglected his family, and his duties as a member of the Ars Goetia. These are crimes in the eyes of this classist society. Telling the truth would not change the outcome, and it was so much fun to see Stolas actually come up with very good lies as to how and why he was the “mastermind” here, spinning an incredibly believable tale that was simply missing from the episode itself. Thank you for this video 🧡

Actual lawyer here! I have to say that representing a client like Blitzo would be... hell (pun intended). Legally speaking, most of his actions are indefensible. From breaking and entering to outright murder, there's no way a lawyer could argue his case without overwhelming evidence that he acted under duress or some sort of insanity plea-which is a long shot. And considering his unique personality and tendency to self-sabotage, he’d likely ignore my advice and incriminate himself in court. In short, any lawyer brave enough to take Blitzo on as a client would probably need therapy afterward.
