Hey mi bro. I want your opinion to validate an idea. I want to make a game kinda like cooking fever (2.5d) Do you honestly think flame can deliver it? I'm considering learning unity c++ But if flame can do it, why switch Edit: I'm uploading a video on this KZbin account of what describing, pls check it out....happy new year btw
@TreyHopeАй бұрын
Hey bro, I just saw your video. I think bonfire, (the RPG maker with flame) could accomplish the game as far as components and logic go, however I don't think it would be up to par graphically. I hope this makes sense.

Hi, it might be quite late to ask, but how much money did it cost you to build the project? 33 minutes * mac M2 per minute cost ? Or does it have some trick to pay more money. Thank you for the video, very useful :D
@TreyHopeАй бұрын
Never too late to ask. I forgot the exact price but I know there's a certain amount of free build minutes per month, and once you go over that, then you pay per minute. I've never had a month where I paid more than $5 for my builds.

Hey, could you cover how most games design their fonts? For example, the colorful gradients and stylized text you see in games like Fortnite or Candy Crush. I have no idea where to even start with something like this

Hi,I previously used Flame to make games, and found the collision handling quite challenging, especially platform games. Bonfire seems to handle this well, but since it has a lot of abstraction, does it limit flexibility? Which one would you recommend? Thank you.
@TreyHope2 ай бұрын
Great question. In my opinion, Bonfire is still pretty flexible. I haven't found many pitfalls trying to create platform games. I would highly recommend Bonfire because Flame's collision handling can be a nightmare.

I'm glad to see you continue to update. Do you know what happened to the flutter team? Is Google going to give up flutter?
@TreyHope2 ай бұрын
I think Flutter is still going strong, it's just early and can't compete with more established frameworks. For example, unity is probably still better then Flame, and most web frameworks are still better than Flutter.

awesome. Thanks. helps a lot. Any place I could learn about architecture the game ? I mean if the RPG become huge, maybe "dealing" damage will need to check many extra effect / triggers depending on user gears, stats, skills... same with damage reductions when being hit, might come with additional extra effects... :)

Glad it could help. Funny enough, I'm releasing another video next week that addresses this exact topic. A way to determine how components receive damage.

You call "_controller.dispose();" after "super.dispose();". It should be before, or it won't do anything. @override void dispose() { _controller.dispose(); super.dispose(); }

Wow! I am glad I stumbled upon this channel!, Please can you tell me if I need to prepare anything in the apple app store before I publish the app using codemagic? and in codemagic they say they only support app code signing for publishing on Mac app store only! Is this means I have to sign the app myself and what if I don't have xCode avaialbe? I know these are dumb questions but I am a novoice.
