Is there a way to bypass the reset button to determine if it is actually bad? It feels as if it is a little bit out but it doesn’t go in any further. The quad will not do anything as if the battery is non-existent which I already replaced and I have 12v per meter. Light will come on. I just don’t want to throw parts at it.

This is just your idea of "break in" and how you do it. Nothing you showed here is required or needed. $10 a quart oil and an hour of running no load is laughable. If anything, you would want a couple oil changes in the first hour of runtime on these cheap Chinese turds. Unlike other similar small engines, they put a lot of garbage in the oil which is a good reason not to use expensive oil on first run. $4 a quart car oil is all you need.

Just bought one it’s a 2012 but it sat in a garage in California for all of its life unused so it pretty much brand new and I live in Tennessee so it was a far trip but very worth it

check safety switches, there's usually a few. one on the brake, one in the key, might be another hiding someplace. just follow the wires and continuity test.

Do you use a steel brush or a brass one? I think that makes a difference with scratching

Is it normal that my clutch gets red hot and then stops working, I've been told that i should only tight the bolt with my hands but i dont know if its true, I've never tried.

uhh yea definitely not normal even after riding slow with my clutch not fully engaged and rubbing alot its still cold enough to touch for a few secs without being too uncomfortable

Actually you should be running at about half load to break it in because you need a load on it to seat the rings

Is there a way to have the rear shaft extended to right side? I'm looking at converting an E-ton AXL 50cc to a 212, but the chain drive is on the right side of the unit and not the left. My only other option I can see is to replace the entire rear axle with the sprocket on the left.

You missed any electrical issues mine was the brake switch was bad I just removed it and jumped the wires so no need to set the brake to start

@4:37 you are missing the o-ring on the carburetor. Also, you installed the spacer backwards. the o-ring on the spacer should face forward to seal on the intake elbow.
