Yes in most cases it is better to face the clutch sprocket inward but it really depends on how your bike is set up and how the chain will connect to both sprockets.

This is a good one for a predator 212cc engine. As long as you have a 3/4 inch axle with the same size key as the predator you will be good with this one. Well if it’s smoking the clutch is either pushing to much weight or it’s just burned up. I would recommend either a new one that’s rated for what your doing and putting a collar on it or putting a torque converter on it. Got a video on what that is and how to install it on the channel.

The clutch will move back and forth causing the chain to come off. Normally it’s not a huge deal with the predator 212 engines but it’s definitely better to have one on there than to have your clutch moving around on the shaft

you are probably missing the keyway that goes in between the clutch and the shaft. It's a 1/4 x 1/4 key I believe.

yes, you can. the only thing you have to do is match your sprocket with the correct chain number for example there are #35 chains, #40 chains and #41 chains that are common on go-karts. so if you buy a 3/4in shaft, 14 teeth, #41 chain clutch you need to buy a #41 chain sprocket and i recommend using a 5/1 ratio so a 50-60 tooth would be good with a 1in the hub in your case and make sure match both the sprocket and the clutch with the correct chain. so in this example, it would be a #41 chain.

Depends on what engine you got. Most engines don’t come with a clutch when they are new so it depends on the engine. Do you have a predator 212? Or is it a motorcycle/quad engine?

stock this clutch doesn't engage until you reach 2500 RPM which is a lot for something you have to pedal but you can spring to lower that RPM.

maybe, it might be that your chain is rubbing on the clutch. that was the case with my amphibious project.

Mines sparked too. You need to use it but better is to install it and leave it running but dont ride it. After a couple minutes you should be good and also you might hear a loud ring noise when first installing!

So are you sure it’s not just stuck on there? Because otherwise you will have to grind the shaft keyway and the one on the clutch or you can buy a female clutch so that it fits. If you can’t find that than you might be better off going with a new predator or a torque converter. I have a video on torque converters on my channel if you want to check it out

I would spray some PB blaster on it and then take a flat head screw driver and hammer to it and knock it off that way. Some shafts have built in keys that don’t come off so make sure yours is not one of those before you start hitting on it

The bolt is often included with the engine and also when you look up clutch for predator 212 on Amazon it shows all the clutches that work. You will have to do this whether I mentioned it or not to order it. Also this was a video on how to install a clutch not what you need to put a clutch on a predator 212. So that’s kinda why I didn’t include it. I might in a future video. Thanks for your help.
