am I the only one who *doesn't* like Part 3? Part 1 transitioned SO seamlessly into part 2, but part 3 feels entirely disjointed, thematically, musically, everything. It's not a bad song but I don't like it as Red like Roses part 3

I feel he whole first part is just so evocative of Team RWBY. Ruby (Red) is haunted by the death of her mother, whose grave she likely visited often... Weiss (White) has had a cold personality forged both by her father's treatment of her and her sister's seeming abandonment of the family to join the military. She yearns for what she believes she cannot have, friendship and true family. The 'royal test' would refer to the challenge her father made to 'allow' her to go to Beacon, a challenge he believed she had no chance of winning... Blake (Black) was part of the White Fang after they went off the rails, with some of the members becoming more like 'beasts' than even the Grimm, yet she managed to escape, and so 'descends from shadow'... Yang (Yellow) is acknowledged by most to be quite the 'beauty' but when her temper's up her Semblance activates and she 'burns Gold'...

Things I noticed hearing all three; Red like roses p2 basically foreshadowed Ruby's despair in v9 let me explain; Technically speaking it starts at the beginning but this part really struck me; Red like roses Fills my head with dreams and finds me Always closer To the emptiness and sadness - (this was a hint to ruby's little meltdown during the neverafter when she finally snapped) That has come to take the place of you I know you didn't plan this You tried to do what's right. But in the middle of this madness I'm the one you left to win this fight; this part we found out thanks yo the vision the lady show us which was when summer was with Raven. The two had a plan which was hoping it would end up ending ok which obviously it didn't. Summer didn't planned on dying she plan to possibly take out salem in secret and gtfo amd head home. How could you leave me when you swore that you would stay?; now yes she means dying but this was bigger then we expected; she left ruby after reading her amd yang a story. Summer already made up her mind to lie about the fact she had a mission to her family. When really it wasn't a mission Oz gave her. Both her and Raven went haywire and out of the blue went incognito to everyone. So far it only seems Raven knows the truth how sum sum died. Now for summers parts; I know you're broken down by anger and by sadness You feel I left you in a world that's full of *madness* guys this was 100% about the never after. No other fairy tale had madness as a theme BUT ALICE IN WONDERLAND Wish I could talk to you, if only for a minute Make you understand the reasons why I did it - technically speaking this was summers pov. She wish she could tell ruby she did this so ozpin wouldn't chose her to go against salem. She prayed ruby wouldn't be a huntress. What summer didn't expect was that ruby did infact fallen into madness. She didn't find out about summer until she drank the tea and fell into that other world qnd saw summers memories.

Hearing the intro to Red Like Roses pt 1 in pt 3, but redone in a way that changes it from mystical and light, to hopeful and promising was a fucking genius move, and integrated into the episode so well

You know, I just realized that we have Red like Roses parts 1-4 and Mirror Mirror 1-3. But I Burn has only 2 versions from what I remember. And From Shadows has no other variations. Yang and Blake pretty much have no musical comebacks with their theme songs from the early volumes.

Red like roses has 3 parts, mirror has 3 parts, Blake only really has from shadows I think, Yang has I burn (yellow trailer), armed and ready (volume 4) and ignite (second Yang short and the Adam rematch). Blake has definitely been shortchanged in the music department, she only has 1 song to the others 3.

If only the show was good I would be more happy about this but unfortunately we got the trilogy but in doing so have it in the later seasons where the writing gives me cancer
