Hi, on my FZS 1000 i have some problem with my clutch when i press clutch and put 1st gear it hits hard i tried to change clutch springs and new clutch cable but still feels like clutch pressing not all the way and its hard to find Neutral and also u need some force to go trough gears, any ideas? Soon gonna order full clutch components but maybe there is some kind of fix? P.s clutch plates are in good condition.
@ctadrenalineАй бұрын
The R1’s and some other Yamaha’s make a knock noise when putting into first gear. My r1 does it they are known for it. Hard shifting could be worn shift forks if clutch is not setup correct with enough free play ect

I have an issue where my 08 R6 will be running then electrical power cuts off randomly its sporadic it’ll randomly die while idle and sometimes will die mid throttle no certain rpm just does when it wants battery is new and electrical diagnosis was done at a shop and still can’t figure it out
@ctadrenalineАй бұрын
Definitely a tough one. Clean all your grounds. Make sure all connections are nice and tight including the negative and positive battery cables on the battery. I’ve seen bikes do all types of weird stuff with loose battery connections. There also a starter/ spark relay. That could be going bad as well. On a 2001 r1 I had a while back it would run mint but then after a certain amount of time of running it would just die out. It was the relay which was bad. I changed that out and no more issues

The play in the throttle is because the amount of cable sticking out the end is just a hair longer than what comes out on an original banshee cable. I had the same problem with that same chariot throttle i custom made a throttle cable and perfect. Love this fucking banshee it looks so good nice job
@ctadrenalineАй бұрын
Thanks so much appreciate you! 🙏👍🏻👍🏻. How did you custom make the cable and will it work with 41mm pwk fully open them?
@boostedtdisАй бұрын
@ctadrenaline yes itll open no problem at all. I've been messing with bikes and atvs since i was like 5 lol. 34 now and there's a company called. motionpro. They make cable repair kits look em up. I got my cable setup and routed where i wanted then install into the throttle assembly and look how much is coming out literally the amount to give slack isn't shit lol so i cut the ends off shortened it very minimal and haven't had a single worry. Person i sold the banshee to hasn't had a problem if it was here I'd take a video for you showing what i did.

Did they ever say, “oh we saw your flash counter, your warranty is denied.” ?
@ctadrenalineАй бұрын
Thanks for viewing. No the dealer has never said anything like that to me. All the dealers know or should know that 90% or more of these bikes will get flashed. Only BMW can deny the claim. Not the dealer as they go through them for the warranty stuff. If a dealer automatically just says something like that go find another dealer

I thought i was getting blind or mad, i got 2003 R1 and the clutch did stop working. I get the bike home and open up the clutch cover, and i start googling about how the clutch is assemble and every where on the internet there are many small springs that press the plates together, but of course my bike doesn't have springs. But it dose have this spring disc. But what is going on if i get the ratchet pin to engage the leverage arm but it doesn't release the clutch...

Great video. Have just had exactly the same difficulty with the 'Piano wire' on an FZ 750, very few you tube videos on this. I have ordered a new one after original was too distorted. Do you think i will have a better chance of getting new wire in place if I remove basket out of bike to do this task? Cheers
@ctadrenalineАй бұрын
Glad the video was helpful! You should have better luck with the new one. Wrap it tight around and try to push it down the hole with your finger. Use something like a very small flat head screw driver for glasses to try to grab the end when it pokes through when pushing down with your finger
@MrFrubzАй бұрын
Thanks for fast reply. So do you think it would be easier for me if I removed clutch basket from bike just to get wire on ?
@ctadrenalineАй бұрын
@@MrFrubz no probably not. Keep it on. Get one side in first ( going clockwise with the wire then pull that wire tight around it. You may have to use a needle noose to grab it better. There is notches for the wire to go into so keep that in mind

Do you have a list of the torque settings please ? I noticed my left peg was not set the same as the right and when I adjusted it the pinch bolt that holds the footpeg needed at least 40nm to grip it. I also discovered the circlips that retain the pegs if the bolt comes undone were missing on both sides.
