2003 Yamaha R1 project bike | part 2 | full exhaust

After 10 hrs of cleaning and polishing, the exhaust is finished! It look awhile but the results came out incredible. The project bike is starting to come along now! There is gonna be some more new parts coming for this 03 r1 project bike so stay tuned!

No problem! Graves usually has good products and they are but I was a little disappointed they still needed a pin removed. Easy fix but it does look nice and works good now

Doing the Exup removal as well but the servo buddy is ridiculously priced for 70.! Im gonna try and bypass it first and if not then bite the bullet and purchase one

As you see I got the graves servo buddy. However it won’t take away code 18! It did clear code 17 but not code 18. After doing some research the “old version” has 4 pins total and you need to remove pin #3. I reflected back to a post I made years ago with a picture and the graves one I had only had 3 so I’m gonna remove pin #3, reset the code 18 with the stock exup motor, unplug exup motor then install the “ modded graves” and see if it fixes the problem. Apparently you can just get a resister and plug it into the correct wires and it will cost like 2 bucks and have no codes. I’ll report back with results tomorrow so don’t buy a servo buddy just yet!

@@Rider-pv6yd I’ll report back. It honestly might just be as simple as removing that one pin. Or I just threw away 70 bucks lol. But yea definitely hold off for now till I get it sorted

@Rider-pv6yd ok got the answer. The graves servo plug is now working and no more check engine light. It was a 30 second fix. Basically there is an extra pin in the graves unit you need to remove ( assuming you see 4 pins when you get it) for the 02/03 r1 if it still shows code 18 when you plug it in and the bike has ran for more then 120 seconds. I’m gonna do a video on it
