Just received my Pi 5 today and have installed and booted up with Ubuntu. The fans spin at boot up but it stops spinning after I've logged into the OS. My monitor blanks out sometimes so I'm not sure if its due to overheating... Any advice please and thanks in advance.

I don't think the issue is the topics covered in CCNA, they are easy enough to understand. It is the wording of the exam questions, the way the questions are worded is ridiculous and to be honest I don't know how Cisco get away with it. Cisco teach the topics covered in the exam via Netacad, Cisco Press books and various online training providers, Udemy and Linkedinlearning. The questions asked in these learning pathways are given the green light by Cisco, I smash these question banks confirming my understanding of the topics - the CCNA exam questions on the other hand do NOT confirm your understanding of topics and by passing you are only confirming you know how to understand ridiculous Cisco questions, I'm not trying to take anything away from anyone but I have come across individuals that have CCNA and they don't know how to implement basic config on devices, I think there are a lot of people just doing question banks to learn to pass without proper knowledge and that is on Cisco for the way they present the exam. Is it true the more employees a employer has with CCNA or Cisco certs receive discounted rates on purchasing hardware? For me the wording of the questions in exams seriously needs to be addressed, it is completely unnecessary and the only benefactor is Cisco. I think we all need to start looking at other providers and get over the whole Cisco cert thing.

I had zero IT knowledge. It was so bad I had to call my isp to have them come out just to plug in the right Ethernet cable into the router and yes it was embarrassing. I then decided to get involved with IT but didn’t know where to start but I kept seeing ccna videos on KZbin and since it covered just about everything I decided to begin study in ccna. I bought Wendell Odom ccna vol 1 and 2 back in 2022 and I took my exam to day and passed . Yes, it took me 2yrs and some months and yes it was before the deadline of the new books and exam. Nevertheless, I wanna say thanks to Wendell for his books and the simulation that came with it because of you and a ton of hard work I passed my ccna exam today. Get the books yall and the simulator it’s well worth every penny.

Please answer my question: I was trying to download CML software from their website but it showed an error saying that I need to have a service contract associated to my cisco account to download those softwares. So, I think even if I buy Personal or Personal Plus I cannot use it because they do not allow me to download CML softwares. is this correct? if yes, do I need to buy a service contract from Cisco to use CML?
