Demise drops on SS Link something to the effect that “No man or demon I’ve come across has ever fought like you”. It makes logical sense that he may have been revered as a deity at one stage.

There's no magic. No magic bar, spells, magical arrows, medallions, or anything cool like that. No fairies in bottles, no hookshot or classic items. All these things paired with the removal of temples/dungeons and songs/instruments make modern zelda feel like a physics sandbox tech demo to me than any kind of actual Zelda game. Soulless.

But the Fierce Deity isn’t good. The game describes him as a dark god. In the true ending of Majora’s Mask, Link temporarily becomes the villain, hearkening back to the game’s mask motif as a way of using different moralities for different situations.

Im tired of botw and totk. Don't get me wrong there good game's. Not great. It's just im sick of the stupid shines. There not fun they don't really make you think and it takes forever to find them all waisting time just to get enough hearts so you don't die with a one shot from the boss. That was never thought out during Majora's Mask however. Funny theory. It's clear FD is just a souped-up adult Hero of Time.

I've always head canoned that the fierce deity was the original incarnation of link mentioned in skyward sword that protected hylia. The original "spirit of the hero" who lost his life (similar to the other masks) in his efforts to allow hylia to save the remaining humans, leaving the memory of him to the humans as equal to a savior god. But you know that's not really proven

I don't think the fierce deity is necessarily changing Link to be like someone else (SS Link, for instance). When Aonuma refers to the memories of the people of Termina, I don't think that's like a "cultural memory", but rather the memories of all the good deeds we have done for them over the course of the game. Hence why we trade our masks for this. I think it's meant to be a kind of allegory for earning karma and exchanging that for enlightenment/ascension, allowing Link to take on a form that, while inspired by the people of Termina, is ultimately an extension of himself, an "aspect" in the sense of Buddhism's wrathful aspects of enlightened beings (fierce deities).

I always interpreted that the fierce deity mask was how the people of Termina viewed Link. Like, yeah he's just a kid but he did so much for everyone. If the fierce deity mask contains the memories of the people and they are imagining a god, then I would have to think that they are imagining the actions that young link did in termina.

Personally I like to think it is a God who once aided Hylia long ago. Made by memories of a world that we don't know exists or not. Sadness of the forgotten can turn into rage and how angry the forgotten memories are of Deity's strength. Damage so great he needed to be sealed into a peaceful place and to rest in peace. Maybe he is a bad guy, because Fierce Deity might almost be more of a danger to the world than Majora. Personally I like to think Majora killed some people and the memories go to Fierce Deity.

I just started playing totk and it's crazy to me that all of you zelda youtubers put on your videos these critizisms about that game, it's an absolute masterpiece

That… doesn’t really make much sense, imo. Termina is a parallel world, as confirmed in canon. There’s no evidence they would have any knowledge about the Hero of the Skies. Termina is said to be made through the memories of Skull Kid (and yes it should be taken with a grain of salt as the Zelda encyclopedias are iffy), and each face is a counterpart of OOT’s Hyrule. Also during development, Fierce Deity was originally going to be an Adult Link mask but was changed later on. So I highly doubt there’s implications for Fierce Deity to hint at the Hero of the Skies.

Honestly, I want a game where we can play as Fierce Deity, not as a costume, not as a boss buff, not as a skill, no, the man himself. Like, please, I’m begging. He’s in my top 10 badasses.

I always think of it like this... Link repeats the three day cycle over and over... each time getting a little more powerful... but how powerful would he become if he repeated it an infinite number of times... he'd be essentially a deity... one whose sole purpose was to stop Majora. The fierce deity is a representation of what Majora truly fears... because no matter what Majora does... Link will always reverse time and come for him... That's why FD's symbols are an infinity symbol shaped sword, a triforce piece, and a crescent moon... a phase of the moon waning in power. The FD is Link...

And speaking of Hero of the Sky Link, it’s obviously implied that when he decided to settle on the surface with Zelda, the two eventually wedded and developed a relationship. As every Princess Zelda is an heir to Hylia’s bloodline, every Princess Zelda is also the descendant of the Hero of the Sky. The irony is not only does every descendant of the Hero of the Sky meet a hero in the making, but they also have met descendants of other heroes as well. Hero of Twilight Link may carry the Sky Hero’s spirit, wearing his worn Skyloftian Knight uniform, and carry the blood of the Hero of Time, but TP Zelda is also THE blood descendant of Hylia and her chosen knight. Same can be said about all other Zeldas.

I will die on the hill that the Twili, the ancient tribe spoken of by the people of termina and the demons that are spoken of in SS are the same thing. The twili look vaguely like Demise does with the grey and black skin, firey red har and a deep burning gaze, just to name a few . For two the visual similarities between the twilight tendrils and ethereal Ganon (floating head) are undeniable. Not to also mention the fact that he was so easily able to absorb the magic in the fused shadow and REGENERATE HIS OWN BODY. Another supporting fact being the inverse triforce on both demises sword AND the stone tower temple.

The sheik fact there is false. Smash devs wanted sheik to look like he was from TwiPri, and character designers acted accordingly. There was no intention for him to be TwiPri. I found no evidenccevvfor TwiPri any kind of Wind Waker sequel. stop this.
