See how fast the other guy reeled in his lure and got the net. That’s top notch work right there.

Scott sure makes a few broad accusations about anglers who may choose to do things differently than himself. Problem with some guides or competitive type anglers I have encountered over the years is, they can often feel they're the be-all and end-all of their respective fish and fisheries. When anything (or anyone) that comes along which may be different or especially threatening to them, they're often passionately and even at times aggressively opposed to it... I'm an angler who's used social media as a motivator for myself and for others, educating and learning, sharing, connecting from and to anglers such as yourself for over two decades. Increasing knowledge with a multitude of species and applying it to an undeniable and true love of fishing and exploration across much of Canada for 100+ days a year, for decades now and, all the while "adapting." Adapting how I see fit for my fishing fun and growth. That's been key for sure. Adapting! Because NO single person puts more pressure on the fish I am chasing than I do, myself. Adapt! To make it more difficult, the website, past forums and social media which I participate with, has self induced even more pressure on those fisheries I choose to fish. Add the masses too, that entire growing angler population and the tech, so to keep going I have to adapt, be better, and great anglers will do this... But FFS comes about, todays latest tool, and if so choosing to use this when another may not, what I'm today witnessing is some anti-FFS'ers becoming far too quick to judge not just the tech but, mine or any other FFS user's integrity..? WTF? Because they're fishing differently today than yesterday and it's what they choose to do..? Well fuck these obtuse whiners because they're being small. (And a funny thing is, nearing 50 and bit more of a curmudgeon with each new gray hair, I'd be totally relieved too if FFS would just go away and we get back to old school fishing but, it's here and not leaving) And yet, sadly these anti-types instead of either accepting, adapting, getting better, stronger, pushing themselves, keeping up, all of the above or whatever, I find are instead acting childish, acting threatened and sometimes just being assholes if or when choosing to potty mouth other anglers who may be using FFS... Right or wrong on their viewpoints becomes irrelevant, for how do they look in the mirror seeing their ugliness of character looking back at them..? I get it's the money maker for these dudes but still... you're supposed to be or claim to be the professional, so act that way by first showing decency and respect ,then, step up and deal with your new challenges rather than shit smear to knock others down while you continue to hunt and drive hooks into fishes faces, one-after-another, day-after-day, year-after-year... Love catching up on a number of these videos of yours tonight Pete. As said when you started, topics we'll often discuss in the boat but few will speak up about online. Good job to all in this panel for speaking their hearts.
