I suspect China will beat America to the moon if we rely on NASA which is a shadow of its former self. Constant budgets overruns and delays. If we beat to be China to the moon it will be Space X not NASA.

Its also interesting to point out that 95% of taxis and busses in big major cities in China run on LNG/CNG gas instead of electricity or fossil fuels

Is everything amazon sells made in china? I have reduced purchases from amazon by 90% because of these cheap or defective that we pay our hard earned money's for. I have had enough of being ripped off by these junk products. I don't even go to amazon on my first product searches. Last case, and there is no other way, I think hard rather to waste my hard earned founds.

Would you need to ship the fuel to orbit as well ? Therefore negate the reason in the first place. What we need is a better way to fight gravity.
@xfsfkahrs7 ай бұрын
hydrogen looks very ideal. But the prices of corresponding devices are quite expensive since hydrogen atom is too tiny to restrict. It is better to build a hydrogen processing hub (for electricity plant, heavy traffics) rather than private vehicles (sedan, SUV, etc.). I respect what Japanese companies have done for human race in exploring the boundary of hydrogen energy, but I strongly suggest they can find a practical and feasible way to popularize hydrogen. It should be a long run for 50 years even more than a century, the research investment should be sustainable.

How is it possible to see this thing with the naked eye from 400km from the ground?
@spatrk66346 ай бұрын
its not. only thing you can see is sunlight reflection. so it would look like a plane or something moving across the sky, but it would not blink. easiest to see it like that is soon after sunset or before sunrise. so that its night where you are but sun can still hit the ISS

The supply chain issues with semiconductors has now eased. It remains to be seen if all of these investments in these fabs will be worth it in the end.
@coulterjb228 ай бұрын
Demand for compute will max out every fab over the next 2+years. The driver isn't coming from consumers but from the big guns -Meta, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon to name a few. Pat couldn't be happier with Intel's decision to forge it up.
@thetickerguy8 ай бұрын
The problem is that the foundries and fabs that are being built are not just by Intel. TSMC are building some, AMD, and others. so it remains to be seen if it will be beneficial for Intel to be involved in the semiconductor space in this way. It is a capital intensive business and it can end up being a drag on the other segments of the business and on their profit margins.

"Vacuum thrust" is an oxymoron, as thrust is applied by the atmosphere, so thrust in a vacuum is impossible by definition. The 4 forces of flight confirm this. You've been lied to for a long time 😂

I dont think, that properly aligned companies give a fuck about getting to Mars. Research comes first. If it so happens that our capabilities come closer to a real chance of getting to Mars or trying to establish there. No real, sane scientists gives a real damn fuck realsistically....only emotionally to get anything of that sort done. So, Nasa, Esa, India are probably all sane enough to not be so dumb to put unneccessary money into useless shit. China, SpaceX is prone to do stupid stuff. Lockhead is just teasing. They are not that dumb to feed that bullshit either. First thing after spacestation might probably be getting established on the moon to try stuff out. We are far away and not happening properly in our lifetimes....with properly I mean whole cities or huge amounts of people. Why burning existential resources of our homeplanet to actually gain nothing from it? It always will be a proper mission with scientific background fueling the approach and not just a stupid desire. My guess: This is a false second space age...nothing to win here like in the first age. Just burn money of the most bored countries that have nothing else to do than burning money and feed their populus with exciting news.
