The ones to blame are the Fisheries.. The fishermen aren't the ones to blame, yes it may have been a trawler, but ultimately its the management of the Fisheries that causes such activity. Dont blame the fishermen, blame the Fisheries. The cost of running a fishing trawler, the licensing, restrictions, the price of the products, is all a reflection of Fisheries management. Dont be throwing the blame just on the fishermen/trawlermen. They're just trying to make a decent profit in an already over priced industry. Start eating more salmon from the ocean and stop buying farmed salmon.

I was camping out at Golden Beach (90 Mile Beach) on Saturday 11th of May, 2024. While in my swag I jolted awake at about 3am (Sunday Morning) to what I thought I heard was bombing.. As I jolted awake I asked my partner who was next to me if she could hear that, her response was "Hear what?". The sound started to blend in with the waves and I was unsure if my senses were just heightened as I felt I was in a delirious state. I ended up going back to sleep - Monday morning these Salmon were as in the video - washed up onto shore as far as the eye could see. I could even see plenty of dead salmon floating in the waves. No visible sign of why they were dead, no physical damages.

The fish and sadly the little penguin have been caught by trawler nets then dumped at some point. Salmon hauling on the beach in NSW is now illegal and no longer done as soon many fish are just wasted. Same thing watching these beach fishermen haul in catches full of Bully mullet from the surf. Never seen so many 4wds line a beach then watch them do their damage. It was during this very netting season that a visiting surfer from Sydney came up to the mid north coast was attacked by white pointer in the surf. Got to his femoral artery and he bled out on the beach the poor fella. Little did he know it was mullet hearing season especially for the sharks. I live on the mid north coast of nsw and let me tell you, don't enter the ocean here without some local knowledge first, it may just save your life!
