It’s crazy that these guys who get paid millions of dollars already would willingly participate in trying to permanently injure key players for just a couple thousand dollars. Rather, it was simply the competitive drive and desire to win that drove these players to such violent behavior. As for the “punishments” the NFL handed out. They all seemed like slaps on the wrist compared to what should have been done. There could be a clear case for charging many of those involved with assault.
