Operator error. Oil drains too small/not enough flow, using restrictors on journal bearing turbos, and oil coking from not allowing cool oil to flow through it before shutting down.

Search youtube for turbo lab America. That dude explains all turbo failures or faults. Smoke from a new turbo is caused by incorrect mounting angle, poor oil drain away, mounting the turbo too low so oil cant drain, major over boost causes stalling of the turbo and for the spindle to go off ballance which results in turbo failure if ran continuously ect ect

This is a PRIME example of why a customer should ALWAYS, and I mean ALWAYS thoroughly inspect your vehicle BEFORE you leave the shop's lot. If you find ANYTHING that appears to be the responsibility of the business DO NOT LEAVE before having them document the issue in writing and in their computer system.

I sold the car already, but ill still explain how i did it. I Ran dryer hose between fender liner and fender , basically hose sat on top of a fender liner , Hard part about installing that hose was no bending hose a lot due to tight space there and fender liner I bend my hose a bit to fit. so using smaller hose might better ideal, I used regular size so it was a bit too big.Once you ran that hose all the way up to the top of your intake hole (where air comes in from fender from outside, there is a plastic part that comes out attach you dryer hose to it, by doing it so will lead cold air into intake box your all done. I did not modify anything inside air box at all just K& N filter and ran dryer hose to get better air flow. from out side while car was driving and air was forced into air duck in front. For the the part where you see in front ( rubber part) that is pipe connector from home depot and some clamps Hope this helps, if you any other questions let me know but, and sorry for slow reply., Yes i had 6 seats in my truck, its hard to find those with 4x4 and 6 seats in FL
@funguy79799 жыл бұрын
make another video just for the intake you made. Open the filter box and show how you did it. Otherwise it's simply not worth mentioning if you're not gonna show it.

Show me more video of the interior of your tundra. I noticed that in the front seat, there's no center console coming back from the dash and splitting the seats. You have "bench-style" front seats which I love. I didn't know that 2nd Gen Tundras came with that.
@funguy797910 жыл бұрын
These second Gen tundra exhaust systems are the most restrictive I have ever seen from any vehicle out of the factory. Just cut out and replace with straight pipe the resonators and I would toss the big suitcase while you're at it and keep the cats.
@funguy797910 жыл бұрын
Check out my videos and see what I did to my 1st Gen Tundra exhaust. It was dirt cheap and made all the difference. I got more power, hell of a lot better sound, and I even noticed a slight improvement on my MPGs thanks to me Ecometer.
