What did he say?
@shadypark789 ай бұрын
@@JavMacHer I didn't get to meet him. To be honest, I didn't even know much about him at age 11. I'm a huge fan now at 46.

Amazing song from Willie. I heard this one night whilst working security. I don't mind admitting that it broke my heart and I shed a few tears for a lady that I couldnt have.

Is it just me or does this picture look like Jim Carrey? Lol 😂
@AntonChestnut Жыл бұрын
You're not wrong. In many pictures you can see the resemblance. I always thought that Jim Carrey would be a no-brainer to choose for an actor if you needed to portray G. Jones in a film! Guaranteed

Fender best known for his ballads and his association with Doug Sahm. However he was also an excellent guitarist.Check out videos on you tube with the Texas Tornadoes. This tune is a cover of Bob Willis San Antonio Walk

Sorry Tom you’re not the only survivor, I’m alive and well, didn’t know your brother Terry had passed. Last time I saw him was in the 80's 1986-87 I think. Although it was just the three of us that did the recording of the two other members of the band I don't know about David but Mark was alive and well as of a couple years ago.

I would seriously go as far as saying one of the most underrated pieces of music going. Serious. No exaggeration.

I love me some George Jones but dam he sounds like Hank Williams Sr in this recording.
@AntonChestnut Жыл бұрын
@ritamills3417 yep, you're absolutely right. He does indeed sound like Hank. No accident there either. In the 1950's when George was coming up, Hank Williams was the one to aspire to being and sounding like. But then before too long, and right up until this very day, George Jones has become that voice that every man who digs country music would choose to sing and sound just like if they could

I've had this since it came out and didn't know it glowed in the dark. I originally bought it because of the sleeve and was delighted it had some great surf-rock tunes.
