Hi Erin, I stumbled upon your video and found it very informative and encouraging. I found it while me and my same sex partner are thinking of having kid via ivf. Although we are Australian and have good social setup here for same sex families, our main hurdle is how a kid will feel once he will realize that his/her parents are lesbians. We are concerned about if our kid would face any discrimination or bullying because of us and what if he or she will also orientate towards same sex relationship because he or she would have seen us being one. Although we know that orientation has nothing to do with who were our parents but if the child would have same sex orientation, we are concerned that society will say that gay parents kids turn out gay too, which is not necessarily true. Please provide your perspective as gay parents child of whether you ever wished that you were not born to gay parents and if your sexual orientation was ever influenced because of your parents? Your response will guide us immensely because we don’t want to become a selfish parents to have kids just for our happiness. We want best for our kid and if that mean that our kid might hate us when they grow up, we might have to crush this dream of ours. Thank you a lot.

Thank you for posting this. My wife and I have 4 little girls and we have been scared to talk to them about being donor conceived. It makes my heart happy to see how much you love your moms. I hope our girls feel the same way when they are grown. Your mothers are beautiful souls. I believe that the love two people share totally spreads to their children.

I know someone who is insisting there must be a father present and it’s making me feel really bad. I hear things and conflicting things about how the child could be more aggressive later on.. or have problems.. I’m worried about that. But I just also think it’s fine to have two moms. I don’t differentiate between sex…it the person who said it really has an extremist point of you. Now I’m questioning myself if it’s wrong that I am thinking this? It’s wonderful that these two mothers are good together.

"There's no normal family'. Definition of the norm/normal: something that is usual, typical, or standard. Since most people are heterosexual, a man and a woman is the norm. Btw, you do have a dad, otherwise you wouldn't be here. Your mother just decided for you that you didn't need a dad. You might have his looks, his intellect, etc... But i understand children of gay couples, you don't want to offend them by looking for your biological other parent.

No offense to the KZbin Channel owner but you should know that the KZbin AI is recommending this to the wrong people and it is just upsetting. I think it is on purpose and I am writing this to dissent and say I don't like this so it hopefully learns. For the record, I'm a Muslim, ultra traditional conservative, who would never change my mind about my ideologies, beliefs, and religion. KZbin's algorithm is purposely disrespectful. My mind will never be changed. Please respect me and do not recommend this AI

Racism is not dead, but it is on life support -- kept alive by politicians, race hustlers and people who get a sense of superiority by denouncing others as 'racists' Thomas Sowell

so leave it to someone who doesn't even see the value in minimum wage to say that anti racists are what's keeping racism alive. doesn't make sense. (but yes many politicians - namely conservative and moderate ones - are a huge part of what is keeping it alive)

@@erin.a.b it’s like you think if it wasn’t for black slaves the Europeans would’ve just packed up and went back home. They could’ve done anything else and been just as successful. It was just a lot more efficient economically and easier to pay an African chieftain for slaves. America probably would’ve been better off without it slaves might’ve had the industrial revolution faster wouldn’t have had the civil war, we wouldn’t have the racial strife in America we do today or the violent crime and riots. The civil war probably wiped out any gains made from slavery. 1.5 million died in the civil war, out of the 10 million slaves that made it through the journey only 388,000 made it to North America most went to the Caribbean and South America. So 4 times the the number of slaves for the entire history of American slavery died to end slavery in America but you think this was beneficial for America or Europeans. What a joke.
