Went there around the end of August 24. The bottom third has pretty much been taken over by the homeless. Tents and trash abound. When we saw that the parking lot was empty when we got there on a Saturday morning, we knew something was up. They probably won't bother you, and I don't mind the tents, but the trash is a real eyesore.

My two brothers and I were over there last season and were on the white trail right near devils pool and got blasted by a bees nest. my bros dropped their bikes on the hive and had to call family for bee spray and suits to get the bikes back before sundown. Then had to bike all the way home 15+ miles on the Schuylkill trail. Never a dull moment on the trails, whether its riding or recovering bikes. I somehow didn't get stung and got away with my bike, they got stung probably 20+ times each. Hopefully next time we visit those trails, that doesn't happen. Either way looked like a blast over there! Always itching to get out to any trails.

I miss the Wiss. Strava names are helpful. I usually use Trailforks for Trail names. I wish there was a way to make them all standardized. It's confusing when there are different names for the same trail.

Just wait until the next generation of riders names them all something else. Haha. All these trails have had like three iterations of names for me so far.

Can definitely be a bit tricky because the trails are so jumbled and there's no obvious loop. If you're not going with someone that knows their way around, id look for the jump pits on trail forks and just meander to and fro between them. It'll be a good time anyways, I promise lol

That first hill you dropped down towards Forbidden was the first trail I ever rode down EVER. Grabbed my old Huffy from when I was a kid and PUSHED it up that hill (because the shifting didn't work) and then turned around and blasted down. @PhillyMTB9 ай бұрын
I'm hoping for more snow too! We were able to pedal up everything except the Monster climb (although a couple in our group actually cleaned it). I'd guess Birds doesn't get enough traffic for good snow riding unless the snow sticks around for a while. Those trails would be sick though if they got packed down...

Not annoying at all. There are a ton of trail heads along the park. The closest ones for you will probably be in the North end by bells mills, however the others that are good starts (valley green inn, Rittenhouse town are only about 10 minutes further. The trails in this video are from all over the park but a majority would be accessible from the north end in a 12 mile or so ride fwiw.
