awesome video! I definitely want to check this place out. I wanted to check this place out this Saturday but I guess with all the rain we've had here in the Philly area the past 3-4 days, I should wait a while huh?
@PhillyMTB2 жыл бұрын
Definitely wait. White clay is a ton of fun, but it's a poor drainer and much slower when wet.

Hey there...great vid! Looks like some excellent riding in your area. We'll be visiting in the Spring...can you link a Strava route you'd recommend that incorporates all three states? MD, PA, DE. Looks like they're rideable all in one relatively short (under 20 mile) ride. And one request: max dirt, minimum elevation gain. Thanks very much! Chris.

I’ve been to WC probably like 4 times already and I didn’t ride any of that stuff.😐 Definitely not riding the fun stuff. I really need to look at the map next time.

That was awesome. That's how fast i THINK I'm going at WC... until I watch my GoPro footage back, haha. Nice job as always, dude

A big chunk of that was Middle Run (county park) sits in the middle of W/Clay and Judge Morris (both state park under the W/Clay park domain). But, you can't do one without the other 2 or you miss out on that fine ride you're showing. My back yard....Cheers the Video!

That was a good rip! I love how clean your setup catches everything and gives it a proper perspective to how fun and fast WC is! I took a POV on my old Hero 3 on Snow Goose a couple Springs ago. It looked good on the small screen but didn't do justice on the laptop lol. I'm fortunate to live about a five minute drive from there. The only one I'd say you missed was the other side of Bryan's field coming off the skills trail. But you doubled up a lot so I'd imagine being pretty spent!
@PhillyMTB2 жыл бұрын
Thanks and good catch! That opposite Bryan's field descent is a ripper and the only one I regret not getting to. I would've skipped that descent around the pond to hit it but we were like 20+ miles in and took the lazy, easier route back to get to the out and back. Next time gonna hit it for sure...
@cdavebolt2 жыл бұрын
Man that's big ride, definitely understandable and the pond side down is super fun! WC is like comfort food haha. The trails are so good with the Spring conditions but admittedly I'll miss the lack of foliage for allowing vision down the trail. That short window of great conditions and lack of foliage let's you get at it.
@PhillyMTB2 жыл бұрын
@@cdavebolt yup. Spring in WC is by far my favorite for both those reasons...also have had a couple awesome early winter frozen rides before the freeze thaw ruts come.

Think these trail systems are CX bike able? For reference, I ride the gnarlier Long Island trail systems on my CX bikes all the time.
@PhillyMTB5 ай бұрын
Yes absolutely nearly all of it is doable on a gravel rig. If you're looking for a big day, people link white clay and another system called fairhill about 10 miles away

Do you use strava? Im looking for a route for white clay…. Im going to hit it early tomorrow before taking this demo back!

Yup... Here's the route from that day. Would recommend parking at middle run and hearing it from there.. strava.app.link/dx7VkysNIAb

Good to see you back on dirt brotha. I haven't been back to WC in a long time... I forgot how fast this place is. Um how about the dog killing your flow, so annoying, lol.
@PhillyMTB2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Sage... Great to be back after most of the last year off and WC was just what I needed to get back into the swing of things. Not pictured on the same trail was a guy with a weed whacker doing trail maintenance around a blind corner while his off leash mini poodle cavorted around. More dangerous than it was annoying lol 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

@@PhillyMTB I’m sorry that was me. Was trying to get through that section as quickly as I could
@PhillyMTB2 жыл бұрын
@@calebmeredith3053 ha! No worries. I definitely appreciated the work, I'd just consider grabbing a cone or something to protect yourself in those blind situations...especially with A-holes like me bombing as fast as they can 😂😂
@calebmeredith30532 жыл бұрын
@@PhillyMTB yea I wasn’t planning on working in those blind corners that day but saw how bad it was getting when I went by. Took some big clumps of rose out in spots so it’s so not so blind anymore

I ride all these trails in south eastern PA. Your videos suck because you jump from trail section to trail section not knowing where you are at. It would be better if you explained what trail you were on and then switching to. Other then that the vid quality is good. Just sayin'
@PhillyMTB2 жыл бұрын
If you think the videos suck, you should post some of your own. Seems like you got the winning formula. 😂😂. Also FYI the videos are indexed and links in the description with every trail name and segment in both Strava and Trailforks. If that's not enough for you to figure out which trails are which, I don't know how to help you...
