If the group all ride race bikes, or sporty naked's, people are going to ride fast. It's the nature of the vehicles, no one wants to ride a sporty bike at normal road speeds. Most of them don't even handle well at normal road speeds. You need to look for ADV meet ups, classic meet ups, or even cruiser meet ups. If you're really worried about speed, look for a Royal Enfield group ride out. 😋

I always say to anyone that rides with us "ride to your own abilities " iff we ride hard and go we will wait for you up the road or next junction.....we never leave a man behind.My boys have just started riding with me and they are told the same and is all good. So maybe next time (if there is one) you meet up, just let them know,and if they have a problem with it, they are not worth riding with.

I got left in France years ago with 20€ to my name as I had all my money and documents stolen and not one of the others stayed or helped me. So called mate's my ass.

I’m a solo rider scooters & bikes. I’ve done the club thing when I was younger,no longer. Someone wants a fag,food,pint,stop here stop there. Bullshit.travelled around wales camping last year was out for 4 days,didn’t want for company,lots of people to talk to,met people from where I live area. And done my own thing stopped for pictures when I want go to bed when I want & woke up up when I wanted, great trip.

If you cant keep up then you dont really suit the other riders. Find slower riders

I know exactly what you mean! I'm a biker and Scooterist when out with the wife! Been to many Scooter rides out, but because of the numbers they stick to the main roads! We like to explore, get lost and use the back lanes! I drive Trucks for a living and it is a bit like a Busman's holiday riding the same roads at the weekend too! So the wife and I go out on our own these days, we clock up more miles and have lovely lunches at places we would never normally go!

You'll always get twats at a bike meet, I still enjoy going to them, I can't keep up with them anyway aboard my 1956 600 BSA M21.... I have managed to out corner some of them though.. Ha.... especially on sharp corners and roundabout.... half of them can only ride in a straight line... Ha...

I went along to join a MCC once it was all that “patching/prospects “ bollocks and I decided that it was just never going to be my thing at all. The group ride was quite disciplined but nup, I’m happy doing my own thing , always have and will continue to do so. Far safer

I’ve ridden the TT mountain over 160mph I’ve ridden tracks in fast groups I rode fast on a road and ended up in intensive care for 2 weeks. There’s a time and a place for it, I learnt it the hard way 😂 I ride by myself, I never ride as a group ever. I need my licence and I enjoy living lol

I started on scooters way back in the sixties, I was a Mod of course and it was like a big club, wherever we went, even though we did not know the people, we were invited to parties, we met girls (I think because we were all clean and tidy under the Parka`s) and we had great times and even though I went to the seaside towns, I saw very little of the so called battles between the Mods and the Rockers as they were called then. When I got my first car, all of that stopped, I became just another car driver, and even when I started on motorbikes, I never felt the same sort of connection to other bikers, just the occasional signalling of the hand as a gesture of recognition.

Lol had the samething. Rode with a couple of them. I ride my cbr1000. And was called a pussy for not going 140 plus on a busy street and or Mountain road. Well those whole group got wasted. On the Mountain side 🤣 from 23 people 14 died.... Natural selection i suppose
