That’s a lot of extra work. You could have used cover tape and left it at that, you could have stopped with the seam taped rubber if you rounded the corners, used contact adhesive on the center and a bead of caulk around the perimeter. I’m not sure what was accomplished here.

Why on every tpo install video do I never see guys skipping on the tpo to stretch it out?, was an essential step when I was working it
@DippedInTheSauce

A lot on manufactures are switching to just letting the sheets relax. They have found that when stretched out the sheets rip over time. We do the difference because in the mornings when it’s cold the sheets are nice and tight then when the sun come out it relaxes and any wrinkles that were there show up with the sun

I am talking to Sunrun about a PPA. My roof is at least 20yo but they say it looks great for their panels. I asked what would happen if I needed the roof replaced in a couple years after they install. The salesman claims they just come out and remove them and then put them back when the roof is done, with no cost or issue. Sounds like I shouldn't trust this...

This video is all over. It doesn't show step by step. For a selfdoer it might be confusing. In some part it show to apply cement over the metal and on another clearly shows the installer placing the cap with no cement.

Our roof keep leaking and our constructor only had the roof structure up then straight by put on the roof without anything, so whenever my air-con worker step on the roof it couldn't really hold him and damage our roof while doing it

I have to do a repair and I'm not a roofer Someone installed a roof approximately 3 months ago the drip edge is overlapped in the wrong direction and you can see the corner of the roof where the rake comes down so I'm assuming I have to pull up shingles all the way along the rake up to the first trip edge 1 is it best to do this on a cold or a warm day? 2 do you have any videos of anything like that or I'm pulling up Rows of shingles

21 years ago, I built my home, which is directly on the Gulf of Mexico, and had a galvalume roof installed, which has a 45 degree pitch.. I have had rust problems with the roof rusting the last 6" before the drip edge and with the drip edge. It is not near as bad as this video. I have repaired several areas where the roof rusted through with a process called Hydro-stop. Except for the the roof rusting at the edges, the roof remains solid .My question is, how do you maintain, prevent or slow the rusting process of the roof at point?

Very helpful, but why on earth do you think it necessary to introduce that God awful raucous CG music track - what do you think it actually contributes to the video? This is what happens when you allow some IT nerd any influence upon the finished product - it is annoying, so much so, I went onto another video.

I didn't think of long term installation because I'm 70 years old :). Also, it's a 200 sq ft "shed". Long term, the nail down sheet would be important. I'm not sure you could ever pull this stuff off the plywood. The Liberty base sheet was BEAUTIFUL! I was impressed with the ease of installation. My plastic somehow got hung up underneath on the the second half of the last piece and I had to wrestle it off and replace half of it. That was operator error. I was just getting cocky, saying how great the job was going and probably rushed it a bit. The cap sheet? That is a different story. I thought it would install as easy as the base sheet but I was wrong. I laid it down and pulled out the plastic on the first row without too much difficulty but the extra weight posed issues. It was hard to get it aligned perfectly. I ran into a snag on the second row.when the plastic started snagging on the overlap part of the first row. I fought with it enough to salvage the piece but ended up with a poor job with a couple of big wrinkles. I did some more research and found that the method is different on the cap sheet and it will require more than one person to fold the sheet into place. There is no way Im going to try and get lucky and flop an 18' long piece in place. That shit will get sideways and when it sticks to itself, you are screwed. I will get a friend to help put the last few rows in place. If they would figure out a way to make the cap sheet as easy as the base sheet, I'd use/recommend this product again. Right now, Im wishing I'd gone with an old school nail down asphalt system.

The base sheet was a dream to install. The cap sheet however is a nightmare The base sheet is simple to move around into position and stays super flat. The cap sheet is heavier and wants to stick on the preceding overlap section. I thought I was missing an important tip but I can't find a good way to do it. The second sheet wrinkled so I'm taking a break looking for tips from someone who has actually installed this product.
