Be mindful there is a downwards rubber 1 way flap in there, so if you’re using that trombone cleaner you must exit down, don’t yank it back up since u may damage the flap. By “there” I mean on the top side of the built in hose behind the retracting seat belt ( you have to move the plastic trim aside to reach the drain tube compartments).

Cheap ! Very affordable in the UK In Taiwan, it's 2020 pounds a year just on taxes alone. Insurance would run you 200 quids a year depending on your options, but that's just third party liabilities. Which does not cover your own car if it gets damaged, a proper full coverage would run you 600 quids a year minimum. Gas prices on 98 Octane is about 79 pences per liter. Garage labor is better here, at around 40 quids per hour, parts price are on par globally. Taiwan has this stupidly outrageous amount of taxes on big displacement engines.

Trade Sellers aren’t normally bothered in my experience, if it’s priced right, it’ll sell. Anything more than an oil change or MOT they won’t usually bother. They’ll stick their standard warranty company on it and forget about it. This car sold in 3 days and I wasn’t the first to make an offer. From my end, it’s nothing I couldn’t sort. But I didn’t know about the wheel bearing at first. Belt is wear and tear etc.

Please tell me mate, as this is a car i'm planning to buy in the near future and it'll be my first proper sports car. How bad is the rust issue really? That's the one thing that i'm a little concerned about as i've heard a few horror stories about them basically being as bad as 70's cars. Is that true? If so, are the various rust-seals effective and not bank-breakingly expensive? Any input would be appreciated as different people have told me different things and i'd like to hear from a real owner who's obviously an enthusiast like myself. Thanks.
@CarThought2 ай бұрын
Depends on climate/storage/usage/mileage of each vehicle. You just have to check each car individually before buying. What you might consider expensive and what I might consider expensive are 2 different things. If you’re concerned, I would recommend ringing local garages for quotes prior to purchasing so you can get an idea on numbers. In the UK, if the car is a 2005 like mine was and hasn’t been treated, It’s probably going to have some rust. They are almost 20 years old now. If it’s been well looked after it might have already been treated. Obviously the newer the car the less time rust has had to take effect. Hope this helps?
@ianclay32692 ай бұрын
@@CarThought Yes mate, that helps a lot, i'm going to go for one which is probably around 6-8 years old, newer if I can afford it and as you say, check for rust in all the obvious places before purchase. Then i'm going to get it undersealed as it'll be my only car and will be used in all weathers. I didn't realise yours was that old but it's certainly not as bad as a 70's car. I intend to have it as my daily driver for maybe 3-4 years before hopefully upgrading to a Boxster, so hopefully i'll avoid any MAJOR issues. Thanks for the advice and the very quick reply. Subscribed.
