It's really interestingly built and kind of refreshing when you do have to get hit. Sadly Zinogre and Deviljho aren't your average monsters, especially when you've already invested in the same monster but a different weapon type. I guess I'll try with an Anjanath HBG for starters.

My thunder HBG(Zinogre) that im using is, Head tzitzi, Armor Magna, Zinny Boots and gloves, and Coral Coil, so i have Lv5thunder + Lv3 ReloadS + Lv1 Recoil, Artful dodge and Burst... works fine and good for me 😁🤙

Hey man, can you recommend a build for magnamalo Gunlance? Is it even worth it? I've been playing with the jho gunlance and I think the extra damage of blast will elevate my DPS. But since I want to proc the wyvern stake more often, my charged shot became an afterthought, rendering my focus 5 seems like a waste. Hope you can give me advice, thanks a lot. My current build is a.rath helm,basarios chest, teostra gloves, rajang coil, basarios leggings.

I managed to get drg atk driftsmelt on the Deviljho waist. Which means I can build for .. Defence loading 3 (+1 in Deviljho HBG 8*) Recoil down 2 Dragon attack 3 Guard 3 Artillery 1

is it better for element or off guard since it more easier to perfect guard?

Hey bro, following up what @AZZalor6632 .... as bblos HBG user I can confirm that pierce is quite challenging for solo. Some monsters tend to charge towards us, thus we need to dodge and reposition. For this kind of monsters I use bubbly set like @ascalone9806 said. The set is : Zino helm/mizu chest/mizu arm/coral waist/azure leg. I was lucky that I have 3 burst smelt in bubbly set (2 in mizu chest and 1 in mizu arm), thus giving me 4 burst along with zino helm. I found this very useful with monsters like kulu, pukei, rathian and some others that likes to charge towards us. However for some monsters that are not often charge to us like zinogre, banbaro, khezu, lumus, I just use rathian arm. Thanks for the tips anyway, particularly about "repositioning first before reloading".

I would ABSOLUTELY love it if they also add the diversion skill too so we can grab a little bit of aggro for multi-player

This is actually good. downtime is low and consistent. I thought about this but grinding zinogre stopped me. Im not done yet with my Zinogre CB..😢

i have an almost similar build but instead of zinogre its rajang and instead of thunder attack 5 its slugger 2 and recoil 2. Also I rely on defensive loading for reload magnamolo is automatically down at first 3 seconds. very useful on team fights

sick video as always! I just wish we could choose which ammo types we wanted to use. I love LBG and HBG in the mainline series swapping to different ammo types depending on the situation is what I find so appealing.

My problem with pierce is that it's really only viable in multiplayer. And in multiplayer you inevitably end up kiting the monster away from the melee dps making them have to roll around Timbuktu. Hunts tend to go more smoothly when everyone is close range.

I'd LOVE to build the Barioth HBG... just farming the parts right now is incredibly difficult. Gotta wait for that winter update and Barioth to come back.

Hey i wanted to ask a question, now playing around with the heavy bowgun and such i discovered that lumu hat, lumu mail, rathian vambraces, coral pukei pukei coil, and azure rathalos greaves is such a versatile build, i do rn have their grades ranging from 4-6 but this build feels so versatile on any bowgun. And the driftsmelted attack boost helps. Im curious what u may think of it?

its a shame that barioth HBG has long range and close range ammo types, as it looks so cool and has that sweet affinity. if only it was spread and wyvern like zino, then it would be perfect. i am very slowly working on the kushala one (its at 7.5) but i need to start making the armor first. mizu HBG si so satisfying to use, solo or group i am shredding monsters with it. just need more plates to G10 it

the long reloading without proper armour is so annoying to play with that i stopped using HBG. it looks so fun when it works out but the reality for me was very frustrating.

This was great. My item box was screaming at me to make stuff. My Mizu Lance was stuck at 9.2 missing many claws, but after watching this, I decided that 9.2 is just fine. Let's make a HBG! Managed to get to 7.1 with the materials I had. (need tails now) I've made Barioth weapons but haven't upgraded them, so I still had lots of mats. Got that to 6.3 only because I ran out of Sharp Claws. So only a temporary pause on that one. Armor-wise, I made all the pieces for both weapons, but don't quite have all the skills just yet. BBlos bow is still in process, so no HBG for me ATM. Again, thank you for helping me free up some item box space with some fun builds. ;)

The best advantage the Legiana HBG has over Barioth HBG is the fact that the former is easier to farm.

Do you think def-loading and guard 5 with a spread ammo hbg (tziti hbg) would be a good build to try?Or do you think guard5 and g8 armor is needed to fully tank? Im tempted to try and make a walking tank hbg build to experiment with.

Thanks for making this despite the discord trolls. You're 100% right, I don't care about theory or this or that... I use pierce I win. It's that simple. Peirce is insane, I don't care what the number crunches behind the computer want to say. Get out and use it, pierce is un real.

I actually don't think that pierce is the easiest to use, especially in solo play. In very close range it has a damage penality and with how clunky the movement is with HBG, against some monsters it can be difficult to actually stay far enough away to be in optimal range. Against some monsters, pierce is also shit. That is especially those where it's hard to line up your shots with the monsters body and thus only doing low dmg. Imo, sticky and slicing are the easiest to use. Both are a sticky bullet that, after a short time, does something (either explode or do a few slicing hits). They don't really have an optimal range, as long as you can just stick them to the monster. It will also always do full damage. Especially sticky will always do its 130% dmg and can be boosted additionally by artillery. So you don't even have to care about hitting weakspots. In group hunts, if you can position yourself properly, pierce will absolutely wreck monsters, especially the big, long monsters. So for those it's really the perfect ammo.
