The tune can't decide itself on which key it is. Needs to be fixed because otherwise it's a great try.

This unreleased game is based on a manga by Takao Saito, AKA the creator of Golgo 13, which explains why the character you play as bears a striking resemblance to him. I find this game pretty interesting, and its a real shame that it never saw the light of day. And what's even more puzzling is that the manga from which its based on has never been adapted into anime. I would have loved to have seen that.
@yarunibun7 ай бұрын
Correct, Vic Tokai made a tendency of creating video games based on manga, seemingly targetting a US audence (there is no japanese version?), it makes me wonder if this went unreleased because of it not working out for them with other games, or not seeming appealing to publishers...

Another update: I have been wrestling a lot with my Famicom and its audio circuit, but I had finally reached a point I consider it "perfect", which barely had anything to do with the actual circuit itself and actually they way I was recording the system. I will record more nes tracks now

Pretty solid soundtrack. The unused "intermission" song sounds more like it would be associated with the ending. Like sort of an epilogue theme. The rest of the soundtrack sounds pretty dark and gloomy, and it fits well with the atmosphere of the game.
@yarunibun9 ай бұрын
Kodaka and Takeuichi arranged the entirety of Jon Dunn's soundtrack, including that track, which would play between stages as the tape loaded in the C64 version. Of course, this being a cartridge system theres no loading and the game just goes directly to each stage leaving that track unused.

The obvious updates: I now have a PC Engine to record from. I would like to put some more up here, so expect some more I suppose. I also have changed the layout. It's an easier workload from me, and frankly more motivating (I direct you to the month-long gaps in videos), to keep the video formatting simple like this and just include timestamps in the description since KZbin will make chapters anyway. It also should reduce confusion over my channel. I also like having both the cover art and title screen onscreen :)
