dont mind the tape and hot glue...
there are a lot of wires and no back shell just yet... or sound. i just wanted to get a functional, playable state in time for a trip i went on (and am on as of this recording)
i designed it to have space for an second pair of parallel batteries, however i might be happy enough with this battery life without them. (for reference, a game gear battery mod used two batteries of a smaller size, and the entire famicom+lcd i measured 0.6 amps at 5 volts)
the tape is to keep the fami board against the back of the front shell's components; next designs i plan to give the main board a back shell for the system, and also a shell for the famicom cartridge slot so it can widen the sides of the system so it is more comfortable to hold.
i also want to give it the feature of interchangable cart slots for nes carts, and possibly even a custom game boy-style cartridge system á la TinyTendo project, one of the inspirations to make my own: github.com/Red...
