I think of the later drums as being me martial in nature, like battlefield drums for pacing. The end just beats you to drath, with Danny's drum just thumping the middle of my forehead

Respect for noticing all the little nuances and panning from left to right and the danny dancing around the riff part. Believe it or not this isn’t even the best song on the album (arguably), great reaction looking forward to more.

You see an earthrise when you're orbiting the moon, but from the surface, the Earth barely moves in the sky. It would be permanently floating on the horizon at the spot where Shoemaker's ashes are, hence the "eternal" earthrise. Floor's voice in the 'Laudato si' is created with a technique called passagio . . . singing between her vocal registers. That she can do it this well, with this much power, is remarkable.

Several times I had to say outloud, "STFU!". Consume the music and react silently first. Stop commenting through the song. At least you didn't pause, but man! This tells me you aren't really connecting with the music and are just giving us a show.

You might not realize this, but this one of the most difficult songs to ever try to duplicate. It is so tight and so hard vocally to sing that only floor could pull it off! She is amazing and so is the band. The rhythm section must follow the snare drum rolls to the tee. That is not easy to do even as a 40 yr veteran on guitar. I tried to follow and play along with this and it is a nightmare of perfection. Nightwish is a phenom like no other!

Tatiana's search for a soulmate. When a relationship starts, "let this binary be blessed", paralleling her hope that this "other star" that's entered, as it were, a shared gravitational attraction and mutual orbit of each other. For writing in a third language she's one of the most compelling lyricists out there.

probably my favorite jinjer song... such variety. and the belts at the end capturing, wailing, the despair of lengthy interstellar distances! or even trying to reach parallel universes... (that can be metaphors for other things, but im glad she doesnt explicitly mention love)

owh man. Shoemaker was one of the most famous geologist , studied craters and especially on the moon. There is a big crater on the moon called Shoemaker crater. He was supposed to go to the moon (worked with NASA) but an unknown dissease prefented that to happen. it was his biggest dream to be on the moon. He crashed in a caraccident (1997) and his ashe in an urn (with the poem of Shakespear on it incripted) was sent to the mon, to his crater. He is laying in rest on the moon. That's why they told you about earthrise. He also studied astroids ofcourse, besided craters. Man, we learned this at school :D He's not dead for that long.

This whole album is a masterpiece. Each song is like a classic, each instrument, including Maynerd's voice tells a story. From the drums in invincible being the march of time and the bass being the warrior fighting time.

Rishloo songs are such a rollercoaster, there's nothing else like it imo. Especially in this song, hitting that climactic section at the 5 minute mark, it feels like going up the biggest climb on the rollercoaster, and then they drop you into the most amazing payoff. I'm late to the party, but I haven't seen anyone recommend Turning Sheep Into Goats, which is also a very good track of theirs! Great video, loved your reaction!
