Yeah! I’ve read about them dating. So jealous of Jack because Claudia is so gorgeous! And I’m not sure why people would be upset over Frenchie’s new fling. His character is French, so it easy to assume he has a very fluid sexuality. Also, bisexual is such a normal thing, so I didn’t really think much about it

Torbin is the best: Mae comes to him. She tries to kill him, struggles - Torbin levitates. The next day, Mae returns with poison. Torbin: "I’ve been waiting for you, Mae." Seriously? He was waiting for her? Somehow, the day before, his levitating meditation showed that he wasn't waiting for anyone. This isn't stupid. This is just funny. (Fantastic writing) Additionally, the term "Barash Vow" is mentioned. What is it? This is a trial of finding a path back to the light, a path of redemption. In this way, Jedi who have used the dark side show remorse and shame for their actions. But here’s the problem: For you, these are empty words because you didn’t know what it meant. I knew what it meant, but the Barash Vow looks different. It’s not levitating for years. It involves isolation but also traveling, understanding yours mistake, and working on yourself. From what I've seen in this episode, I can describe Torbin in one word-coward. He has locked himself in a meditation bubble and is not looking for redemption.
@nerdingout_nmoeАй бұрын
Damn! Thanks for all this useful info. I'm assuming the idea of Barash Vow was mainly explained in the comics or books because I don't remember them using that term in the movies.

@@nerdingout_nmoe You know what, considering the quality of Acolyte, I don't know if the director herself knows about it. I'll allow myself to quote a veteran fan I once talked to: "It looks like the director just threw empty words because they sound cool." And I agree with that.
@hehu40252 ай бұрын
You have no idea how disastrous this episode was. It was basically the final nail for this show. This episode is disastrous and destroys the canon. I will use stronger words because as a fan I consider this to be the work of an incompetent person. 1. Osha and Mae Have No Father-Just Like Anakin This is a minor detail, but it undermines Anakin's visual symbolism as the Chosen One who had no father, with the Force itself being his "father"-a symbol. (This is acceptable, though.) (And to emphasize: Anakin was created by the Force. The twins were created by someone who used the Force.) But I would only accept it if it had a strong impact on the plot. Well... 2. Creating Life with the Force - Do Sith make sense? This is unforgivable because it literally destroys the meaning of the Sith's existence and diminishes their significance. Darth Plagueis was supposed to be the first to discover this secret, but even he couldn't do it. His ultimate goal was to create the Sithari-an ideal Sith, let's say, the chosen one of the dark side. The Force resisted him, so he failed to create life, and additionally, the Force, in response to these experiments, created Anakin. Yet, during this time, random witches are creating life before the Sith even discovered it was possible. The Force doesn't resist them, there's no Chosen One or anything. It just lets them do it. Now let's take this logic further because the deeper you go, the more destructive it becomes. If Osha and Mae are supposed to symbolize balance (Osha as light, Mae as darkness) and were created in harmony with the Force, it shows that the entire Sith Code about breaking limitations makes no sense because the Sith imposes these limitations on themselves and desperately try to break them by imposing even more limitations. Meanwhile, if you act in harmony or don't disrupt the balance, you can literally do anything-no limitations. I shouldn't have a chance to think this far, but based on what I've seen, I have strong arguments, and I can question the meaning of the Sith's existence. So, I'll summarize with this question: Were the Sith always idiots, according to this director? (I don't know how much more I can say because I don't know how much lore you know, so I'll stop here) If they wanted to create something truly unique and interesting with these twins, I suggest exploring the concept of a Force Guardian-probably the rarest thing in legends. In this scenario, the twins would actually be triplet, but one of them wouldn't have been born. However, the soul would be strong enough for consciousness to survive within the sisters bodies. The Guardian could subconsciously assist them and create visions where they manifest in some form. There are many options with that concept. This would also deepen the concept of the Force Dyad, as a torn soul would seek to reunite with its other half. (These individuals have white eyes and appear to be blind, but they are not.) And as for the witches, and I'm sorry but I have to say I called them a coven of bitches. They were horrible, used violence, intimidation, tortured Torbin, and even with Osha and Mae, they applied a philosophy of fear. Was I supposed to be sad that they died? Yeah. I was happy when I found out they were all dead because they deserved it. I have the impression that the director unintentionally subjected them (and Mae) to gigantic dehumanization. (The goal of The Acolyte was to show that the Jedi path isn't always the righteous one and can sometimes even be immoral. There was supposed to be an alternatives, but the witches definitely aren't it.) My suggestion: Don't show someone you want me to sympathize with as evil… Let it be a normal day for Mae and Osha with their family, with no philosophy of fear. It’s so simple to make a character evoke sympathy… Even if they’re using the dark side, just have them encourage action through passion, emotions instead of fear. Why did we immediately like Talzin in the first episodes? 1. Because she was mysterious and intriguing. 2. Because she helped Ventress and showed us that her intentions weren't evil. (This is an example of humanizing the dark side.) In the case of witches, how am I supposed to feel any positive feelings when what they do is literally evil.

Whenever you hear English on this show, they’re actually speaking Portuguese. Blackthorn is the first Englishman in Japan so no one speaks it. (The Japanese didn’t even know of the existence of England because the Catholics didn’t tell them). The show-runners decided 100%subtitled show of English and Portuguese wouldn’t appeal to the English speaking audience so made it mainly Japanese with Portuguese spoken in English. Also, Ochiba means fallen leaves in Japanese. This is why leafless branch was mentioned in markups poem, Ochiba looked surprised. It was a hidden message to Ochiba. The only way Marino could communicate to Ochiba without the most shrewd in the know person recognising the deeper meaning/message of Marikos poems. I’ve enjoyed your reactions. Bastian has DNA from both Master Mold and Nimrod so he possesses powers of both. I hope this helps clarify things for you😎

Cyclops actually has two sons with two different “Jeans”. One is as we know‚ is Cable or Nathan Summers which is his son with Madelyn. His other son is Nate Grey or X-man which his son with the actual Jean. He even has a child with the White Queen‚ or Emma in an alternate future. Scott has children from the future‚ from an alternate future‚ and from a different universe. The whole Summes family tree is so complicated. Also Jubilee's power isn't just fireworks. She can generate pyrotechnic energies everywhere she wishes. Her power can create small explosions to bigger explosions which can be compared to an atomic bomb explosion, so she's powerful, she just doesn't know it yet since she's still young and only refers to it as “fireworks”.

@@nerdingout_nmoe again, the cartoon is doing a pretty great job of streamlining these complicated stories WITHOUT removing all the crazy convoluted details. Like, the live action movies would absolutely have just made Cable Jean’s kid for the sake of simplicity. But X-Men comics and continuity have always been complicated and part of the fun of being a fan is being able to say things like “no, not the kid he had with Jean in an alternate timeline, I mean the kid he had with her clone in the 616” and then getting to explain that to someone

I did know that Rogue in the comics could take specific information from those she touches, but the actual first time I saw her do it was in the X-Men Evolution cartoon. She focused on learning Kitty Pryde's dance moves and tapped her hand real quick and could dance identically to her.
