why you say "schtreit from nasa"?, wat kind of dialect is that?

I’m annoyed because these mistakes were so glaring and so fixable. The premise is based on absolutely terrible physics. It didn’t have to be… honestly. The rockets not being fueled in space and not having stages. I mean at least explain that the rockets have fusion drives or some sci-fi tech. The monkey exploding instead of suffocating, the guns in a spaceship, the zero g’s while they’re taking off but then sudden g’s when the engines stop which kills one of the astronauts???, the instant communication to Neptune, getting to Neptune in 90 days… (again do they have a Fusion Drive or something? It would take WAY longer), the rings that have asteroids orbiting like dust particles??, him blocking the asteroids with a small hull part that he ripped off of a radar, the fact that even if that could magically protect him, the momentum would have pushed him back, him jumping perfectly back to the other rocket, even the antenna they had at the beginning was questionable. I just don’t think we have materials that are strong enough to build something like that. It would implode on itself. Even the fact that after over 180 days in space (which is way too short but I digress) he walks out of the capsule on his own feet. We know he wasn’t exercising or doing anything to keep his muscle mass up, he’s clearly shown floating around on his way to Neptune. This movie’s tone screams realism but there’s zero attempt to make it realistic. It’s not like we’re watching Guardians of the Galaxy or Star Wars. It’s set in the near future and it uses tech that looks like it’s from NASA. There’s no hand waving like warp drives or laser guns or the usual sci-fi stuff, so I expected more. I think that’s why I’m so bothered by the inaccuracy.

I watched the movie again yesterday, on KZbin, after watching it in a cinema after it came out. I loved it. I was fooled regarding Louise's "memories. I totally thought that the story we saw took place after her daughter dies and I assumed she was divorced. And I thought what she experienced was memories of her life with her daughter and husband. So that was clever of the writer.

Long time ago noticed a waitress walking with full cups of coffee and never spilt a drop. I asked her secret she told me just don't look at the cup when you're walking. Has worked for me ever since.

on the other hand, if you pay attention to your walking path instead of concentrating on the cup, your body will automatically gimble your wrist to remove the sloshing.

When soldiers walk across a rope bridge, they are instructed to not walk in the "Left-Right-Left" rhythm and to break their stride. This is so that the walking frequency does not match with the natural (swinging) frequency of the bridge - which may cause it to collapse.

Just look at the desert suit of Harkonen warriors in the opening scene of part two. They are bulkier end much like our space suits today. Stillsuits of Fremen are more advanced and simplear than them. This makes them 'native' to the desert.
