How do you separate the two lint screens to get trapped lint from in between?

@@jimm.5384 there should be a pull tab area that has a concave to pull just a little bit of elbow grease and it should come apart it’s mostly held together by a piece of plastic that slide in together.

Since the terminology is all over the place. Does it use 5kWh (amount of energy) to boot up? Or does it need 5kW (energy used per second j/s) just to run?
@jackwilson9829
@jackwilson9829 3 күн бұрын
Electrician here, does not need 5kwh to start, electric motors can use up to 4x rated current to start up but its only for a few seconds at most. Also this is a split system so the compressor wouldnt be using all 5kw probably more like 2.5-3.5kw which would give a max startup load of 14kw. Side note, the array is unlikely to be able to output what which would just mean the motor would start abit slower
@williamsung
@williamsung 3 күн бұрын
So the power draw for boot up was around 40 amps at the 240 (I do have a soft start) so the initial draw was probably in the the 8-9kw range and drew a constant 4-5kw with the blower running as well. Inverters and battery powered the inrush

Your video inspired me to try tweaking some settings on my unit. Have had it on the Dry setting all day. Assuming it’s dehumidifying the air at a much higher level than the ac does? I’ll bring a humidity counter in to see. But it definitely feels dryer and cooler than it did before. I am wondering if I’ve learned a protip! Central Texas is humid, and it will be insane for the next week or so with Beryl coming through.
@williamsung
@williamsung 3 күн бұрын
Stay safe during Beryl. Yea I had the best results so far with cool and manually keeping the fan on high. The boost didn’t really do anything on my end didn’t see significant change on the power draw maybe a 3-5% increase but would pretty quickly go back to the max draw at 1100-1200watts not sure what’s happening there.

I am on my third year with this Midea model. I am pretty impressed. It is quiet and efficient. I have one room in my house that will not cool down with the Central AC, so this was a great solution. I thought the install was harder than it made it out to be. What is that netting you have on the outside section of the unit?
@williamsung

Same very impressed with the output for a room our central ac seems to have trouble getting airflow into. the net is a protector i got for leaves and bugs amzn.to/4eRuuyQ is the link to it :)

So you can get a Jakery 3000 and with the max of 6 panels each 200watts [1200watts] and get similar results?
@williamsung
@williamsung 18 күн бұрын
I’m not sure about the jackery you could possibly get regular 120v 15amp charging with a jackery 3000. So 4-6 miles an hour for most Evs.
@exil3dlivecom
@exil3dlivecom 18 күн бұрын
@@williamsung I'm confused about the 2 chargers you used. Can you still get 18 miles a hour with just 1 charger but lots of solar panels like you did? Or that's only possible with 2 units?
@williamsung
@williamsung 18 күн бұрын
@@exil3dlivecom so watts work volts times amps. If you have one delta pro you can use 120 volts up to 30 amps which is about 3600 watts real world something like 3000 watts. And if you get two units you can get 240v at 30 amps 7200 watts real world around 5800 watts. Depending on what kind of car for me Tesla model x it requires 5800-6000watts to get 18 miles. A smaller car probably a little less. The newer delta pro ultra can do 240v 30 amp by itself so you would need one unit. For solar panels that’s controlled by something else called the mppt. Which is a solar charge controller and it will direct the power from the solar panels either to load or battery and it also has limitations on how much solar can come in so you cannot exceed that limit the additional power will come from the batteries.

New portable power station I just hope for all new products now and also in the future: 1. there will be 90-degree connectors and never again will those monstrous big connecting cables be used that take up a lot of space 2. complex app at the level of today's features: same for large, small and medium power stations, with online and offline complete usage history, with the possibility to change all settings parameters by user, with access from anywhere in the world where there is internet, with quick and easy connection to Home Assistant, open source - worldwide community it will always push the system and its features more forward and in the direction the user needs it as a closed system of one company 3. from the introduction of the new product, version for Europe 240V will be immediately available 4. Low Frequency Inverter 5. Additional batteries with separate solar charging and their own DC outputs

Love the technology but it's not 'proven' yet. GE has the best warranty for the heat pump at 5 years plus they have their own dedicated service department, LG is starting up their service department, Samsung don't have a service department yet. The Samsung exploding top load washers and the LG refrigerators with the constantly breaking linear compressors are still fresh in my mind, I'm not willing to be a Guinea pig just yet, maybe a GE unit because of their warranty and service but you're really rolling the dice with the others.
