I am appreciating this series on the Samsung unit. I am also in Texas -- central region. I ended up getting the LG version of this, replacing a 12 year old washer and gas dryer set. I am five loads in and am very happy with it, but I still have my eye on this Samsung version if things start going sideways with the LG. My main concern with Samsung is a combination of service technician availability and long term reliability.

Yea i agree these are definitely also my concerns ill definitely keep things updated as much as possible as i get more stats :). I really strongly considered the LG one too but i thought the overall look fit better with the home and i liked how the lint catcher looked on teh bespoke which i think out of the 3 LG and Samsung did it right with the double filter. like ACs probably lint and gunk getting into the condenser will be the biggest thing to look out for.

so you had a washer dryer combo before you got the bespoke? Nice captions :O

Did you get an extended warranty on this? I'm hearing Samsung doesn't have a great service department if these things break down.

I realize you have not had the Samsung very long, but have you noticed any lint getting past the filter so far?

About 20 washes in and so far it looks really clean I stick the narrow part of my Vaccum in there after each wash as a just in case suck out some floating particles but I haven’t seen anything build up.

Hi William. As you admit your self in this video, you don't actually save a lot of money -- but honestly, you actually do save a massive amount of energy (you went from 41 kWh to 16 kWh. that's 39% of 41; that's over 60% energy savings. that's massive.) -- my question to you is why did you choose this combo heat pump unit over traditional washer and dryer units? You're in TX so I don't imagine you're tight on physical space for two units of washer / dryer. I do like the energy savings of heat pumps but your cleaning routine after each wash is way too much work for the average female. It's a lot of effort after each wash. I would understand it more if you did live in CA and paid 35-60 cents / kWh for electricity but at your rate of 15 cents there's no real need for a heat pump washer/dryers. I'm not against this tech. I'm just don't see a real need for your use case.

Hey there For my family we only do three loads of laundry a week or 9 days depending on the season. A athletic, regular, and towel load pretty consistently with a bedding load sprinkled in as well. We are only two with occasional guest so not a lot of loads. So it was easy for us to do it all in one. This way we could fit more storage items into the laundry room for cleaning equipment etc. we also liked if we were leaving we could throw a load in and it would dry as well if we wanted to do a load a day. Cleaning routine wise as you saw in the video was mainly to clean the lint out which for the regular between use cleaning takes about 2-3 minutes. And maitenance cleaning like rinsing the lint catchers was a 10 minute maitenance step so I would say it’s not bad all things considered. The other case for the lower energy pull would be for solar too in our case. As it’s a lower draw than an electric dryer you can play more appliances into a side panel and run off a solar inverter much more easily.

@@williamsung Very good point about 1 load in 1 machine. That really is pretty useful where you can go out and do things and come back to a dried load of laundry. With 2 units, you do have to be there to move load from washer to dryer. That is a VERY BIG PRO! Please do keep us updated on how the compressor is doing. My biggest fear with this machine or even a heat pump water heater is that the compressor goes out after a few years. That would be such a pain. But good luck and best wishes with this model.
