I have a question concerning CO2. First of all, I would like to tell you about my professional background. I am a 76-year-old male who has been working in the welding profession for 59 years. I began my career as a welder working in every discipline except Aerospace, Underwater welding, and Pipeline welding. I had a welding business and became a Welding Instructor, Welding Sales Representative, Senior Welding Inspector, and a Welding Consultant. I was a Welding Technical Representative for Canadian Liquid Air. Today it is known as Air Liquide. This company was the first in the year 1897 to compress and cool air down to minus 297.7 deg. F. to tap off liquid Oxygen. So, I will state that they know a little bit about atmospheric gases. The air we breathe contains 21 percent Oxygen (O2), 78 percent Nitrogen (N2), and 1 percent other rare gases like Argon, Neon, Krypton, Helium, and Hydrogen. traces of H2O and Carbon Dioxide (CO2). Air contains 0.04 percent CO2. Please think about this for a minute. We are told when searching on the internet that we are releasing 9.5 billion metric tons of carbon into the atmosphere. First of all, we are talking about atomic carbon which has a radius of 0.0914 nm. Secondly; now I am asking my question. How are we separating the carbon from the CO2 to obtain one atom of carbon and two atoms of oxygen? CO2 is a compound molecule. The welding industry uses dry CO2 as a shielding gas. In the intense heat of the ionized CO2, the CO2 is broken up into Carbon Monoxide and Oxygen which recombine back to CO2. Question: Where is this 9.5 billion metric tons of carbon? By the way, CO2 is heavier than air. CO2 is essential to life on Earth. Please remember there is only 0.04 percent CO2 in our air. Without photosynthesis, we would not be here. Thank you Dave

how the hell can reduce CO2 emmisions if we don't put a tax on CO2 and all forms of pollution????????????? then use those funds to develope the alternatives, impliment them and target the poor to use them.

The older I get, the clearer it is to me that there is absolutely no hope for humankind. None. Zero. Take this material, for example. It started relatively interesting but it quickly went downhill, peaking with being ‘passionate about climate change’. I am old enough to have seen the changes in Europe. Why those changes have occurred and how they impact on the human wellbeing is unclear to me, to be honest, confused as I am by the climate activists and others who have different opinions (confusion, not enlightenment, is the result of the bloody dialectical method). Any solution rests on education, not on meeting any targets, not on finding energy efficient technologies, and definitely not on forcing any new vision on people by whipping them with artificially inflated gas bills in order to force them to be less wasteful. I would very much like to know who farted this global strategy from the depths of their intelligence and skill at misleadership. I would like to know who have been the idiotic criminals who thought that keeping vulnerable adults and children in unheated houses and making them even poorer than they already were counts as social pedagogy. These are the evil ones. The rest are just stupid and cowardly taking orders from those who fund them, obediently bleating new politically correct nonsense. What good is to build energy efficient houses for children (actively targeted in mass- media) who are poisoned with the crap in McDonald’s products? You can’t and wouldn’t think beyond meeting targets. You have absolutely no vision. And, bottom line, you don’t care about people. You are too cowardly to dare to think outside the box and ask questions because you fear you will lose your funding. Tell me, if McDonald’s paid you mega bucks to make houses in the shape of their burgers whilst you wear their uniform in the street would you do it? Of course you would. Because as you don’t have useful brains, nor have you (self-) respect. It’s tragic that you are stupid. Partly, its not your fault. It’s the fault of those who have chronically neglected everybody and who think that ‘education’ through psychological terror, dialectically dividing people into arguing sides, and destruction of livelihoods is the way to educate and ‘lead’. There is no hope. Energy efficient or not, there is no hope for a world in which there’s a constant lack of vision, planning and co- ordination, dependence on funding from private companies that have their own profit agendas, and fundamental lack of care for those whose wellbeing should be at the centre of every endeavour. What exactly stops you from thinking systemically? You’re not THAT stupid. What stops you from seeking assistance and knowledge from the elders from ‘the third world countries’ to learn how their ancestors were using the nature to their benefit whilst not destroying nature? I was in the desert (there must have been over 50 degree Celsius) and a local fetched me very cold water. That’s just an example. What do the Inuit people do? What were other people from other cultures from other times doing? How were they building? But no. You would rather ask the bloody Artificial Intelligence and waste time on workshops where you learn nothing fundamentally new from each other because you, all, think the same. Do you work with social psychologists and mass- media? One way to change behaviour is through imitation. How about having actors in movies switching the bloody lights? How about desirable behaviours in commercials? Does it help with educating the population if the tv news studios are glaring obvious anything but energy saving (loads of light and equipment in the background)? No. It doesn’t. Does it help for the so- called ‘leaders’ to fly to their meetings on climate change when they could have taken the train? No, it does not. There is absolutely no hope. Humankind will die not because of the environmental disasters it has caused, but because it is too damn stupid.

It’s all bs, the future is hopeless. We should be advocating for EVERYONE on earth to have access to painless sulcide capsules. So they can leave when it gets too much. We’ve been an utterly barbaric species for so long and by we I mean first worlders mostly. We could act with decency for once.

Mother earth is way too huge and resilient to collapse overnight... and looking at the various, multifaceted initiatives, my actual worry is that we don't end up pulling out way more CO2 than is necessary ! Danes/Norwegians are already planning to build a total of 100 CO2 carriers by 2030, and that's just one initiative that I'm directly aware of. Many have indeed started doing their bit.......

The only viable sources for "clean energy are only two" being natural gas and hydroelectric power. PERIOD!!!! Windmills ugly the western plains, kill any bird (including Bald Eagles that fly near them, etc.). Do not produce enough power to supply the national grid system and are government subsidy for the benefit of Warren Buffet, et al. Solar panel farms require a minimum of one square mile completely covering 640 acres. In order to be of any utility/viability requires being located within close proximity of an existing electric transmission line of 119KV. Electric cares run on batteries charged by electric generating plants fueled by, natural gas, nuclear reactors, coal or hydro powered. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!
