Salam bro, this is great comment. It's true that the party culture of USC is publicized a lot but tbh partying exists equally at every college, it's just the publicity that the partying get that different. As a practicing Muslim student I haven't found it difficult at all to stay away from the party scene. It's California so almost everyone here is super respectful abt ppls cultures so ur not gon feel much peer pressure to party or anything. There's also a good amount of other Muslim students too so it's a great community you can tap into if you end up attending here. Imo I wouldn't let the misconception abt partying at USC affect you from not wanting to come here. This has been one of my main concerns yk bc im from a muslim country and the sudden change in environment and everything is really scary to think about but alhamdulillah i trust myself. Thank you for the reaffirmation :)

theyre def great programs that give students there an additional path to med school. i wouldnt like make EAPs ur main factor in choosing a college since the programs r rlly competitive and its not a guarantee youll get it so its not worth it to like give up other factors like financial aid, scholarships, location, or etc from other schools you get into. EAPs r just another factor to consider when choosing or applying to a college but dont make it your deciding factor. also only apply/attend a college like tufts or wake forest if you actually want to go to the college, not because you think you might get into their med school.

@@badruddinmahamed You make a good point. I just toured Tufts and I am tempted to ED there bc of EAP. But, I'm not that crazy about Boston. Duke is next on my list to tour. You gave it a 1 for grade deflation so I'm pretty excited about that. I am trying to avoid high grade deflation school. Thanks again for your input. I highly appreciate it.

@@badruddinmahamed THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I am shocked to see that Claremont Pomona does not have grade deflation but McKenna does. Seriously considering EDing to Wash U, Vanderbilt or Dartmouth but grade deflation is a serious consideration as the goal is getting into med school. How is USC so far?

@@antonias7637 Yeah Pomona's kinda inflated and CMC's kinda hard to get good grades at as far as i've heard. I didn't really look into Dartmouth too much but I do know that WashU is a little harder to be pre-med at compared to be Vandy. If those r the schools you're thinking abt EDing to I'd also look into Brown, Amherst, Williams, and Rice. USC's a pretty good school to be pre-med at. GPA deflation's middle of the road, not easy or too hard but pretty doable. I had a rough freshman year for like personal reasons but the school itself is good.

@@badruddinmahamed I am sorry to hear that you had a rough first year. Hope your personal situation improves for you in the second year! Gonna seriously look into the schools you suggested also for ED. So many supplemental essays though! Been looking at your other vids for advice and recommendations. Your channel is really great! For rd schools with deadlines in jan they’ll see ur first sem grades cuz ur counselor needs to send like mid-year report to them. For uc u might submit ur app in nov but they’ll still ask ur counselor for ur grades later so theyll see them before they make their decision.
