Great video and documentation of some of the land up there. If you continue on that slope you guys headed up there is a beautiful plateau to explore. There’s a few tarns, caves that drop in, lots of alpine flowers, and I’ve seen herds of caribou up there too. That whole area is truly special and I’d love to go back someday. I’ve also gone up the mountain to look for Close-to-the-edge on two occasions and couldn’t locate it. It’s not marked very well, but I think I know roughly where it is now that I’ve covered the wrong areas. Sad to hear the tram is down now.

I just returned from a trip to Prince George, and I'm back home in Thunder Bay. I heard it snowed in the mountains direction the day I left- Perhaps that was the snow you showed in the video. I went on the trail to the ancient forest and saw massive old growth cedars- I think that was the most awesome fantastic trail I have ever been on in my life. @@ratpatrolrenegade1413 I carry bear spray but really I don’t worry much. I’m a guy who has spent 50 years in the mountains hunting so bears are part of my world. I am very conscious of what’s going on around me and I am vigilant about checking all my sides for anything out of the ordinary. Probably not a great answer but it’s the truth and I hike alone a fair amount. I’m not sure how you can be prepared for a bad situation where you are on a bear on a kill at short range or a sow with cubs that you happen on with no space for action. You can stay home where it’s safe or just do your best to be observant and accept it may not be enough one day!
