No it was not a mistake. Poles is doing a above average job. When a team acquires a player via the draft, a trade, udfa, or off waivers it is the job of the coaches to scheme that acquired player into the teams offensive or defensive system. See Andy Reid he does this better than most coaches.

Offensive pass interference, dropped a 3rd down, perfect TD throw he slowed down after beating his man and turned around (he's done that 2 other times), He couldn't get 2 feet down on a 4th down conversion. None of these WR's are on the same page, so its way better to continue to send targets to DJ, Rome and Kmet who will be here for many years. He won't be here next year and almost looks like he's checked out. I would trade him and get a pick back and then that lets Caleb get more work, reps and targets with guys that will be around.
