I loved your videos of plural of nouns in nominative because it had many examples of the article together with nouns in plural. It would the been lovely to have a similar approach here with a little list of words with the article in accusative and the words in accusative. I can see how the video would get longer by that though so I understand your approach here. However could you maybe make another one with more examples of masculine, femenine and neuter nouns in accusative and their plural such as your approach with the nominative? Kind regards!

Hi! Thanks for the comment and the suggestions! I will consider them! For the moment you can watch my short animated movies for beginners, you will find plenty of nouns used in accusative there!! Short films in modern greek!: kzbin.info/aero/PLQTuehBjH4AlHVmayeyoBOj2pt3Y9-VUV

@crazyforgreekАй бұрын
Ευχαριστώ! With the verb "αρέσω" we always use continuous subjunctive, so the correct one is "μου αρέσει να παίζω". If you are not familiar with the distinction between simple and continuous subjunctive you can check this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6qyf6xmi9iMhMU

Thank you! Your examples worked very well for me. Most are already familiar words so it's a great start. Just as with gender, my best hope is to learn the plurals through reading and listening, it is very good to know the patterns here but I will forget very quickly.
@crazyforgreek2 ай бұрын
Yes of course! The goal shouldn't be to memorize them! But now that you know the patterns, every time that you see a plural it will make more sense and it will be easier to learn it! 😁

Ha ha! Thank you! I won't be going to Greece in the summer. Although the vocabulary will be useful, certainly. My ancestors were from the temperate forests of Northern Europe before we cut them all down and caused global warming. I have pale skin that is very sensitive to strong sunshine. I got heatstroke in Xania in October 2022 just walking around the old town and the harbour. It was only 28° C and I was wearing a sun hat🥵

Great work, than you! Listening again, I realised how much detail I missed. The expression "Να κανονίσουμε να βρεθούμε μία απο αυτές τις μέρες" I guessed the intention correctly from "μία απο αυτές τις μέρες" but the verbs were not at all as expected, so I missed βρεθούμε in the missing word exercise. I also missed "Eida" which showed that although I know the word I don't hear it in context, proving you perfectly correct in your suggestion that listening practise is most important.

😢It was great but I cheated. This was supposed to be a listening exercise. When I came to words that I didn't know, I paused the video to find the word (only from the sound). If I had not done this, I would have failed. Even so, I mistook "γένεια" with " γένειά" Also "όχι αμάνικο" was difficult for me but I remembered " κοντομάνικο" Question: In the last example, there were two Katarinas? Perhaps the one on the right was wearing blue trousers not mauve trousers but on my tablet they looked the same as those that our friend was wearing. When I struggle to understand, I think of all the people who struggle to learn English, which is a nightmare😂. When I speak to someone who has only a little English, I am conscious of avoiding the euphemisms we use all the time and we don't even notice! Your presentation is so calm and clear, so patient. It is almost like you are using a metronome 😊. I know it is slower than normal speech, in order to help us, but it still feels relaxed as if we were chatting.
@crazyforgreek2 ай бұрын
Haha not cheating at all! Learning new vocabulary is also part of the purpose of the exercice! Yes their color is the same! You need the last hint to distinguish them. The last hint is that she is sad/happy. I am glad the way I talk sounds relaxing hehe Indeed, it is slower than normal but is important to practice in this velocity before moving to the real one!

Hi, as I told you in your other comment these short stories are for intermediate level learners. If you are a beginner I don't suggest starting from these. I suggest you start from my three first short films where I just use the present tense. There you have the subtitles you want, as well as a file with all the vocabulary used in the films. kzbin.info/aero/PLQTuehBjH4AlHVmayeyoBOj2pt3Y9-VUV

"....και φοβάμαι μην πω κάτι λάθος." I am afraid to say something wrong. We have another phrase which is very tricky because it looks like a negative.😮 From a cultural perspective, in the UK the "Best man" is the name given to the person supporting the bride groom and is usually a buddy or possibly a male family member of tha same generation. The bride is customarily "given" by a senior male member of the bride's family, traditionally her father. So, still lots of room for embarrassing mistakes🤣😂 I love the video. Afterwards, I notice that the couple "Only have eyes for each other." Nobody else in the video has eyes😅
@crazyforgreek3 ай бұрын
I am glad you liked the video! It is more or less the same in Greece. In the story, the κουμπάρος came with the bride because I wanted to include him in the story somehow haha, i didn't mean to say that this is his role.. It is as you said, the bride is usually "given" by an old male of her family but in the absence of one, it is not strange for the κουμπάρος to accompany her.
