Around 1:00, they go into a version of Mother's Cookies, which they've done for decades. I think it originally came from the USC drumline

Easily. Thousands of students and thousands of miles have been marched with the core cadences in this sequence, They've been played for 30+ years.

@tsadrummer thats cause most usc cadence version are in warm-ups while this is a competition and the best most clean by FAR is the 2005 version.
@BigLittleIsland3 жыл бұрын
Nope, this is warmup for them too. Search for Arcadia at WGI world championships if u wanna hear them in competition. They've medaled a few times at world too
@tsadrummer13 жыл бұрын
@Superunknownful yeah that is true, this version does sound alot cleaner though lol
@Erichx1413 жыл бұрын
@tsadrummer nah while this is a highschool and a really good one i think its missing the 8 basses cause it doesnt sound the same with 4 and i think it also sounds empty cause its missing the cymbals. but still you can tell that Arcadia Highschool actually cares about the band.
@tsadrummer13 жыл бұрын
@Superunknownful actually in my opinion they played it cooler then usc
@Erichx1413 жыл бұрын

@jorgealberto1989 Latin Blood and Cadence '86 are both USC cadences that we started playing in the mid to late 80's when Alan Reinecke was our PI. Alan was a USC and AHS grad. Mother's Cookies is more traditional, it dates back to the 70's and was a competition cadence. Cruel Shoes and Victor were written in the mid 80's as well before one of the Rose Parades in order to flesh out the cadence sequence. -Tom, Section Leader, Class of 1991

It depends on the musician. Arcadia owns most of the larger instruments (a full suite of Bach trombones - both with F-stops and E & F stops), and the students pay a nominal rent for using them. But when I was in the band, I used my own trombone.
