Many years after my two earlier comments here, I enter here my great sorrow at the passing away of Ustad Rashid Khan on the 9th of January 2024. He was the most complete vocalist of our times. His untimely death has left a great void in Indian classical music. His great presence will sorely be missed. In this Jugalbandi we see 3 great musicians coming together in the most fulfilling way. Wah to all three of them. Aah for the departure of Shafaat Khan and Ustad Rashid Khan.

Моя любовь классическая музыка Индостана, а пандит Рави отличается от множества талантливых индийских музыкантов тем ,что он обладает от Бога безпредельной художественной фантазией, если этот феномен можно так определить. Недаром из миллионов индийцев, Хариссон выбрал именно его. Ён не дурак, хоть и англосакс. Думаю, что такие люди, как Рави Шанкар, непревзойденные классики индо-арийской древней культуоы Индостана.

Мой незамбвенный Рави , до сих пор, слушая молодых музыкантов, ловлю себя на ощущении несовершенства их, и чувство.... дело то не в виртуозности, а в смысле произведения

wow. what a performance; one of the finest on Sitar and Tabla. Tears in my eyes as I type this. Proud to acknowledge and appreciate the fact that we have wonderful musicians like Shujaat Khan ji (Sitar) and Akram Khan ji (Tabla). I will definitely listen to this recording many more times...
