Just put sample in audio channel and warp it nicely and reduce speed in half, so if your project is on 140 bpm put it on 70, make sure you set audio to complex and then transfer melody to midi...The most accurate way so far to do it!

Scaler 2 is a game changer for sure. You can even use Scaler 2 to control all your midi instruments and set scaler to play the chords in all sorts of different ways. You can even tell Scaler to play the bass notes only vs having to edit the midi data. I highly recommend Scaler 2 to anyone trying to make music.

@@iamherotv btw that track in your video was really awesome man! Keep up the great work! 100% agree - first thing I start with for new song is always scaler 2. Good combo I've discovered is starting with Scaler 2 to build your chord progressions and then feed that midi data into InstaComposer 2 as a quick way to generate different melodies using those same chords.

How did you get that UI menu when opening the plugin in the track view in Ableton?????
@iamherotv
@iamherotv 4 ай бұрын
Hi @infusivemusic - Great question!💯✨For the special UI menu to open plugins, I used a third-party open-source app called "Live Enhancement Suite (LES)" (enhancementsuite.me/). A couple things to know before going down the LES menu path. 1) The LES menu layout has to be configured manually. Which after you get the hang of editing the text file, it is actually not bad at all. 2) Because LES is a thrid-party open source app, I am worried that one day folks will stop developing LES and/or Ableton makes a change Live that causes LES to stop working. So far LES is working in Ableton Live 12 and below. It is a gamble that my hard work configuring LES menu will one day be unusable. However, the LES workflow works so much better for me than Ableton's menu that I am willing to roll the dice!...hahaa. 🎲🎲

Nice thanks! Been trying to figure out how to make that type of sound at 6:19 for a minute! Isnt there a whole genre based on that sound? or at least an artist that does this alot? It's the Shaper box making that stutter type effect right?

@CharlesLouisRosario I love ❤️ that sound, I’m curious what the name of the genre would be…I would listen to it. 🎧🎶 Yes, Shaperbox is manipulating the incoming sound from the OP-Xa V synth.

How is this plugin compared to Infiltrator 2? Which do you recommend buying first?
@iamherotv
@iamherotv 5 ай бұрын
Hi @jenstornell ✨👋 - I actually use both Shaperbox 3 and Infiltrator 2, and both have their strengths. In my opinion, Shaperbox 3 has an easier user interface, community presets that are accessible within the plugin, and I find myself reaching for it more often...but that might be because I started with Shaperbox. Infiltrator 2 had a little more of a learning curve, but it is more powerful with its 54 Effects vs Shaperbox's 10 Effects (& 2 Tools). Infiltrator 2 also has an awesome Sequencer, which is super useful. With all that said, I am happy that I started with Shaperbox to understand how to use these types of plugins and sometimes having less features forces me to be more creative. But I recommend you download the trial for both and start experimenting to see which one works better for you and your workflow.💯✨

@@iamherotv Thanks for that lengthy answer. I can try to give something back by sharing what I have currently. I don't have Filtershaper XL, The orb, Love, Fury, Rift, Exhale, Bitpunk, but it is on my look-into list. I can recommend Filtron and Wider which both are free. What I don't recommend is Action Filter by Noiseash. It was not as good as I had hoped. I've bought I Wish, Ovox and Manipulator but had no time to try them yet. Gatekeeper and Pusher is nice and not very expensive.

I’ve been using scaler 2 for about a week, and I just picked up Melody Sauce today. I’ve learned that my biggest problem is not being able to “picture” a melodic presence on top of the chords so I tend to try to be too melodic with the chords themselves, and I don’t get anywhere because I’m not satisfied with the progression I’m hearing. Using melody sauce for just about an hour now, I think it’s really going to help me there. I find its melodies to be no more than good support tunes, and so far I find anything other than a simple melody to be intrusive, but I admit it’s only been an hour. Just turning it on, however, gives me some random harmonies and let’s me hear the base chords in a better context.
@iamherotv
@iamherotv 6 ай бұрын
Hi @Blendercage 👋 - I like where you head is at.💯✨ When I first started with Scaler 2, I too was struggling with the melodic side of things, even though Scaler 2 has melody features. Melody Sauce 2 has helped me to write better melodies, but even then I use it as a starting point to help generate ideas when I am drawing a blank. One thing I like to do with Melody Sauce that tends to help, is instead of playing with the built-in sounds...route Melody Sauce to a different plugin while changing presets/sounds in the different plugin. If possible, keep your eyes closed while cycling through the sounds. This technique helps my mind and ears to conceptualize where I can take the beat...also happy accidents can happen this way. 👊🏾🤩👍🏾

That is great! can this be done in Maschine 2?
@iamherotv
@iamherotv 6 ай бұрын
Hi @garrolou 👋 - If you are asking if Maschine 2's MIDI can be routed to Virtual Pianist and then out to a different instrument...then in theory, this should work. I don't have a Maschine to test this with. But I have poked around on Native Instruments community forum for you and they are saying it is possible to route Maschine's MIDI out to other plugins, as long as you are using the "VST" version of Maschine and not the "AU" version. Other considerations is, the DAW you are using to route Maschine 2 through.
