Scaler 2 is a game changer for sure. You can even use Scaler 2 to control all your midi instruments and set scaler to play the chords in all sorts of different ways. You can even tell Scaler to play the bass notes only vs having to edit the midi data. I highly recommend Scaler 2 to anyone trying to make music.

@@iamherotv btw that track in your video was really awesome man! Keep up the great work! 100% agree - first thing I start with for new song is always scaler 2. Good combo I've discovered is starting with Scaler 2 to build your chord progressions and then feed that midi data into InstaComposer 2 as a quick way to generate different melodies using those same chords.

Just put sample in audio channel and warp it nicely and reduce speed in half, so if your project is on 140 bpm put it on 70, make sure you set audio to complex and then transfer melody to midi...The most accurate way so far to do it!

@sergejfilippov1968 Thanks for watching.❤️ Captain/Captain Epic and Orb Plugins are both awesome music theory plugins. I own all 3 plugins and tend to gravitate to Scaler 2 the most. With Scaler 2, I get quick results with very little fiddling with the plugin and it fits well in my workflow. I also love💕 that Scaler 2 has a whole community forum ( forum.scalerplugin.com/ ) where folks are super happy to help each other. But in the end, it all comes down to what works for you and your workflow.

Love Scaler 2 they just released Scaler EQ! I deleted LoopCloud as all of their samples require clearance for commercial use

@RedCloudServices I'm super excited for Scaler EQ! 💯✨Regarding using Loopcloud samples for commercial use, according to my understanding of Loopmasters/Loopcloud's License policy (found here www.loopcloud.com/cloud/terms_of_service ), as long as you are using the sample/s within your music composition along with other sounds (and not repackaging Loopcloud samples individually for re-release/sale in your own soundpacks), you can totally use Loopcloud samples for commercial use. Happy to discuss further if you are having a different understanding of Loopmasters licensing policy. Either way, thanks for watching and for your comments.❤️

@@iamherotv oh that’s good to know I have been following a few youtubers re Sync Libraries and clearing samples is a big issue for original songwriters submitting tracks.

How did you get that UI menu when opening the plugin in the track view in Ableton?????

Hi @infusivemusic - Great question!💯✨For the special UI menu to open plugins, I used a third-party open-source app called "Live Enhancement Suite (LES)" (enhancementsuite.me/). A couple things to know before going down the LES menu path. 1) The LES menu layout has to be configured manually. Which after you get the hang of editing the text file, it is actually not bad at all. 2) Because LES is a thrid-party open source app, I am worried that one day folks will stop developing LES and/or Ableton makes a change Live that causes LES to stop working. So far LES is working in Ableton Live 12 and below. It is a gamble that my hard work configuring LES menu will one day be unusable. However, the LES workflow works so much better for me than Ableton's menu that I am willing to roll the dice!...hahaa. 🎲🎲

Hi @dcgang3457 - Thank you for sharing. 🤩✨Melodyne detects chords awesomely well, and I use it sometimes. What has me reaching for Scaler 2 more often, is that Melodyne has a steeper learning curve and doesn't tend to fit my workflow.

It's not useless, however I stopped using it after finding out that Cubase 12 has ALL these plugins built in their daw. There's no need for multiple plugins anymore like scaler cause I can detect the key and scale of the sample. No need for serato cause Cubase matches the bpm. No need for shaper box to modulate since I get that with Cubase. No need for sonar works too since Cubase comes with headphone match. But all these plugins can be useful depending on how you use them. It wouldn't hurt to learn music theory though.

Scaler is what it is and what benefits you gain from working with it. Obviously if it doesn’t suit the way you work then it’s of no use for you, but a pile of shit it definitely isn’t.
