An important point was missed. The GWP effect is when there is a LEAK! not while it's in the system. When & IF it leaks when there is a fire, it will propagate the fire!!! Also, very important flammable A2L (R32 or R454B) might and could INTERNALY explode. This is true if the vacuum process (must be higher than R410A an A1 class non-flammable, non-explosive class) is not perfect (presence of moisture/oxygen) as when compressed the temperature could reach the lubricating OIL ignition temperature, and in the presence of flammable refrigerant (any A2, A2L or worse A3) the oil might ignite the flammable refrigerants! Just remember that 454b is 70% R32. 454b being a blend does mean that it does fractionate. R32 being a single component does not. R32 also requires 40% less charge to achieve the same BTU's

R32 is all over the world. 454 is non-existent anywhere. 454 is mostly R32. Something seems off.

Good comparison and will see the reaction of Daikin (patent holder of R32)? One important point to note! (surprised Trane did not stress!), is that R454B or R32 are A2L flammable, and can be explosive (diesel effect), semi-toxic, fire propagator, restricted use and restricted refrigerant charge, how can you they claim that it is a straight replacement to R410A which is an A1 class, non-flammable, non-explosive, non-toxic, fire suppressant and no use restriction??? CFCs were created back in 1928 because (later on HCFC, HFC) (over 90 A1 class) cause: non, non, non, fire suppressant etc!. and used in open systems (non-circulating) in fire fighting, inhalers, cleaning agents, foam blowing, etc. Can you imagine using A2L to replace A1 class??

GWP of R32 is only 675.
