You're being reported to the authorities for misleading and lying to the public. Women DIDN'T INVENT pencils. You have no clue what you're talking about. Manufacturers sharpen pencils but YOU DON'T. YOU, the artist, must wear down the sharp point into a point that has facets in it. Are you familiar with diamonds 💎? Diamonds contain facets. Your pencil ✏️ tip should have wear facets in the tip. You are concerned with lead radius measurement. Your wear facets must get close to the lead radius measurement. You start drawing from this type of point, NOT THE SHARP POINT. Pencil sharpeners are low angle block planes designed to only cut away the wood surface. They're NOT designed for sharpening lead. Wood workers HAVE BEEN USING PENCILS FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS before you Modern day idiots came along and started making video lies.

You're miles away from perfect. Men invented pencils so that implies that women have no clue they're WRONG when it comes to pencils. You DO NOT sharpen pencils. You WEAR IN THE POINT to a FACETED POINT. Then you maintain the FACETED point all along the length of the pencil ✏️. You haven't worn down the point enough so you're over applying the lead. Your experience is WRONG.

I dont understand… before Prismacolor I had Crayola and the craZy-art and Oh lord they sucked both brands break very easy and it takes longer to blend. Prismacolor is a beast lead dont break as easily as crayola, blending is way much better.

It was gross to look at in the 90s and it's gross now. Why women do this to themselves is beyond me. Especially when men do not like it. No man wants a peacock for a wife. Why can't women see that other women are their greatest threat and hinderance, not men.

Tip: they won't break as much if you sharpen them by hand. I use a boxcutter. Basically because artist grade pencils tend to have softer more fragile cores for better blending, pencil sharpeners tend to be too rough on them and the tension makes them break. This is easily avoided if you just do it by hand because it's much gentler and gives you more control. And that way if the core isn't perfectly centered it's not a big deal

Thank you for this video. I love all my colored pencils but I am looking for good oil pencils, I feel I will be able to get that darker tone, solid fine point, details... I love pencils crayons pens, I know with paint, I found oil paint more versatile than water color or acrylic. So thank you for sharing your experience with oil pencils.

If your prisma pencils are breaking a lot or have been dropped or gotten really cold, if you gently warm them up, with a heating pad or space heater or hair dryer, you may cure the problem. Be gentle, don't over heat them. This can sometimes save your pencil and stop your frustration. Worked for me.

Yesterday I found many eagles Prismacolors and berol at a thrift store , like there was so many that I can full a small school pencil bag. I didn’t know they were that old. Great find then. I probably paid 1or2$😂. It’s written 1951 on some of them. It’s a great find for an artist like me.

be careful :c the color eno are not only super fugitive, but they are meant to do so. i've seen sad stories of sketches done and sold at conventions with these, and then dissapearing in a month or less u_u they really aren't meant for coloring (unless you are just doing it for yourself, sketches that will never leave your shelves)

Many of these colors are great if you have a light sketching style. You could see a great example on the official product page. If one starts coloring in heavily - doing several rounds of cross-hatching - the tri-tone effect diminishes. Especially those with darker colors. It just looks muddy. There's only a handful of landscape subjects I can imagine those excelling in, like volcanoes slowly smoldering at night. Some colors don't even seem worth getting since there's so little contrast.

Just wanted to thank you again for introducing me to these lovely pencils. I would love to see your favorite Holbein products/colors. I was lucky to find the full sets from Amazon Japan in 2020 for a steal. Just fyi as a fellow KZbinr, there is a new store called Discovered Japan that has great prices and ships to the USA. They are gifting Holbein products to content creators, and they offer affiliate links. ;) ❤ Stephanie Davis
