Hi, you'll find starter's information about applying to master's (and after that, PhD) at www.studyinfinland.fi/admissions. For student accommodation info, see www.studyinfinland.fi/life-in-finland/accommodation. Note that if you're planning to move to Finland with your family, the related social matters are not found at "Study in Finland", instead you should visit for example www.infofinland.fi. Whether your family would be eligible to any social benefits, this you need to check with www.kela.fi.

Heii could you please reply on this I have Bachelor's and Masters in English language and literature And i want to become a teacher for that i am opting Master's in Education and Teaching in Finalnd is that a right choice????
@studyinfinland23 күн бұрын
Hi, teacher's profession in Finland is fairly strictly regulated - you do need a Master's but also there are other requirements- see general info at for example: www.sool.fi/in-english/the-finnish-school-system/ and toolbox.finland.fi/life-society/teachers-in-finland/ In addition, you should keep in mind that the language of teaching in Finnish schools is predominantly Finnish or Swedish, so language skills may also be required. So if you plan to apply to a Master's in Education, you could contact the university offering the programme, and ask with them what requirements they have for those who wish to get a teacher's qualification - including the possible language skills requirement.

Hi there, scholarships for bachelor's and master's in Finland are not offered by the government, but by the individual Finnish universities - you usually apply for the scholarship from the university at the same time when you apply for admission. See www.studyinfinland.fi > "Admissions" and "Scholarships" for info on how you can proceed!

I'm planning for University of Turku for this fall intake, but don't know any one to guide while in application to stay.
@studyinfinlandАй бұрын
Hi there, you can usually only apply for student housing *after* you have been admitted, so your first step would be to aply for admission. If you get in, then there are several resources for you - see the University of Turku advice on accommodation: www.utu.fi/en/study-at-utu/accepted-students/housing Note for example the "Turku Student Village Foundation" (tys.fi/en) - they say on their site that "You can fill in the housing no earlier than 3 months before the need for an apartment." But anyway, you'll get information on these practical things from the university once you've been officially admitted, so don't worry. The nuviersity can always advise you, although you do need to independently apply for student housing.

I have a question for @studyinfinland Is acca recognised in finland properly and what is the chance of getting selected as an acca member. I would appreciate your thoughts if you answer me this.
@studyinfinlandАй бұрын
Hi, if you mean for internships - depends on the employer really, but as far as we know ACCA is not as such used in Finland, we have our own system for Auditor oversight (www.prh.fi/en/auditoroversight.html). If you're refering to studies - the same thing, your eligibility as an applicant is always decided by the Finnish university you're applying to, so there's as such no "national" policy regarding student applicants who hold ACCA or other similar qualifications. So check with the university in Finland you'd like to apply to! See www.studyinfinland.fi for starter's advice on how to go about it!

@studyinfinland2 ай бұрын
Hi there - first f all, if you have a Medical qualification, and would like to find health-related employment in Finland, you'll need to have your Medical degree recognised by Valvira- see valvira.fi/en/healthcare-and-social-welfare/rights-to-practise As for possible studies in Biology & what you should choose... we'd recommend you choose the subject(s) of your studies according to what really interests you, what you are passionate and motivated about; then, check for potential degree programmes at www.studyinfo.fi and contact the university in question for detailed admission advice if necessary. The university can also best advise you on possible career options. Why you should learn Finnish? Well, if you are in Finland, that's the language they speak. If you live in any country in the world, you have to learn their language. How logic is that!
@studyinfinland2 ай бұрын
Agreed - the thing is, Finnish universities do offer a lot of degree programmes taught completely in English, so one does not absolutely *need* to know Finnish to study here. However learning the local language(s) of course has many benefits - makes life easier in several ways!

My conclusion from this video is: if you want to move to Finland, better learn Swedish. In this way you can be integrated in both societies (countries)🙂
@studyinfinland2 ай бұрын
Hi, this might indeed be recommended in certain areas of Finland (mainly along the western coast) where Swedish is actually the predominant language :) However, while Finland is officially a bilingual country, in many areas Finnish does kind of dominate so it depends. See for example en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swedish-speaking_population_of_Finland Anyway, learning new languages -even when there's two of them- is never a bad idea!

Finland is a wonderful place period
@julialindejulia2 ай бұрын
Why? Will you explain please
@Italsat48612 ай бұрын
@@julialindejulia The reason is, the state & society see both legal & illegal as the same. Subsequently, in a recent move, they have increased the residency permit from 5 to 8 years for both categories of immigrants. . For people likewise the same person that replied here with saying that Finland is a wonderful place period, yes Finland is an excellent place as long as they have great benefits. . However, if the current government of Finland reduces their social benefits, then this country would become the worst place. That is the negative point of Finland that, with social benefits, makes immigrants specially the illegal ones reluctant to work. . According to recent surveys (you can easily Google it from Yle), majority of legal immigrants are planning to leave Finland permanently. . Finland is neither my country nor I have something against it. The core of our discussion is that Finland is not a right place for [majority of the] legal immigrants. Good luck!
