Random items are based off of the current state of the gamecube. You see, computers dont actually generate random numbers: they are actually pseudo random. So all of the inputs and possibly date and time are inputs for rng. Hope that this helps

He's one of them in my opinion. He has a defensive special when he's a lightweight. He needs a speed item. notice how most of the time, the heaviers are in 1st-4th because they have speed. They the only ones that deserve a strategic weapon.

I don't understand why most TAS players always play nintendo games in japanese. Not that there's anything wrong with that personally. I was just only wondering. Is it like some japanese culture thing or something? What's the difference?

In most cases the Japanese version is the fastest to use for speedrunning purposes, such as on Ocarina of Time since the Japanese text scrolls much faster than other versions. On this game I'm actually not sure of the reason though.

27GhettoBreakStar27 that had to happened to me as well when it missed me while I jump off the ramp and the blue shell missed on top the head . There are some rare chances you can dodge the blue shell by the right time you speed.

I've been playing this game for 10 plus years ever since it came out. Went from the worst in my family to the undefeated racer. I think I'm the best and this merely reminds me how much I lack. I honestly can count how many I've managed to dodge blue shells with the mini-turbo on one hand.
